  1. Vaughn isn't getting traded. That has to stop. It's not opinion at this point, not with the article USAToday did on Vaughn with quotes from Kenny through the entire piece. DH is much easier to fill than LF. Hell, put Yermin at DH for a few weeks, see what happens. The issue is having Collins/Yermin split it or something just gives you very little roster flexibility, but this was never going to be ideal.
  2. Leury's value is being able to sub all over the field, not be a starter in LF.
  3. Good call Dick Tracy, where'd you park the cop car?
  4. Vaughn in LF makes the most sense, quite frankly. You're in a shitty spot now. The biggest downside is Vaughn also hurts himself playing a position he isn't comfortable with, or just really struggles and it carries over to the plate. But what if he thrives in LF? Then all the sudden Eloy can take over DH long-term, and you solve two problems.
  5. Vaughn in LF is in play, according to Rick
  6. They have come out and set expectations that this is a WS season. One player being out shouldn’t stop that goal. If it does, you weren’t a WS contender to start. This is the tough part of the job for Hahn. But he needs to figure this out.
  7. I don't totally disagree. Sometimes when shit hits the fan, you need to be able to react. If Eloy is really this bad in LF (We have confirmed he is) could Vaughn be worse? And does he stand the same chance of hurting himself? Does it screw with him at the plate? I know you don't want to make the kid look like a fool......but I don't know what other options they have....and trading Abreu and Vaughn doesn't seem like it's in the cards, seeing the puff piece USA Today just ran for Vaughn with Kenny quoted...
  8. I agree, if he hits the warning track, just stop dead in your tracks. Same for the foul line. Aside from that, I don't know what else they can do.
  9. Absolutely brutal. No other way around it. Losing Eloy for significant time just kills this entire lineup. And on top of it, the way this team is built, there is no spot for him at DH. I honestly don't know what they do here.
  10. If they get Ball, they may not have a 1st rounder for 2021-2022-2023
  11. End of the day, love them being aggresive.
  12. Yeah, none of that matters. The Sox were entering a rebuild and Adam Eaton, an “above-average” outfielder, was traded for what turned out to be one of the Cy Young favorites of 2021 who’s 26 years olds. I don’t really care what Eaton did in Washington. The Sox, or any team does that trade every day of the week, twice on Sundays.
  13. It was a joke. I would hope no one actually is still wondering if the Sox “won” the Eaton for Giolito trade...
  14. The guy has a 5.93 ERA in his last 210 IP. He has no business logging any type of significant innings for a team looking to compete. None.
  15. So they are totally fine to continue to kick the can down the road.....so much for the rebuild.
