  1. Is there a belief Yolbert could get playing time at 2B for the Sox this season?
  2. FO is a way different discussion. That has a huge impact, from the lower levels on up, in my opinion. I was only talking about a major league coaching staff, but I know the poster you were quoting mentioned FO.
  3. I've pretty much always believed it comes down to 95% player execution. Tim has made like 1000 errors to start the season. That's on Tim. He is a professional, he's been here before...make the play. Even if you were to hate your manager or something along those lines, you can still field your position. Coaches, both hitting and pitching, at least provide you with a gameplan and what they want you to execute on. It's on the player to actually execute. The issue I have with TLR, like many us of do, is the items he actually is responsible for, the items that do fall on him.....he seems to fail at. The whole "having his team ready to play" I think is mostly nonsense. There is probably some impact here and there but mostly I don't really buy into that line of thinking, again the players need to execute.
  4. Good quotes from Menechino: Full article: https://theathletic.com/3269157/2022/04/25/white-sox-seek-patience-to-reverse-offensive-slump-if-youre-not-taking-your-walks-youre-falling-into-their-plan/?source=emp_shared_article
  5. I would check on the availability of Craig Kimbrel.
  6. Surprised by some of the responses here. No one is wrong, just surprised. I'd ask this question to the group after seeing some of the comments: You're told from 2022-2026, the Sox will win the World Series one time, but not make the playoffs in any other year. Or, the Sox make the playoffs every year from 2022-2026, but you know they don't win the World Series. What's your choice?
  7. I feel like people aren't understanding the question here. Yes, making the playoffs is always better than not making the playoffs. But the question specifically states the Sox lose in the first round (for the 3rd year in a row.) The question is worded specifically so there is no "Well if you make the playoffs, you never know what will happen!" We do know what will happen, and that's them going out in the first round again. And as @flavum said, at that point it's the same as not making the postseason at all, so if means TLR gets canned.....the option seems easy.
  8. It won’t for about 99% of the fan base. The poster in question is someone who blindly defended TLR no matter the circumstance last year. Only now, when you have team-affiliated post game show hosts actually calling out the manager are the LaRussa Stans finally waking up.
  9. So sick of 1B playing OF for the Sox
  10. With this offense, you 10000% send him. It was a great throw. Stop it.
  11. So to be clear: Garret Crochet - TJ, Out for Year Lance Lynn - Knee, 3-4 weeks? Joe Kelly - Arm, 2-3 weeks? Lucas Giolito - Oblique, scheduled to start Sunday Robert - Groin, Another week? Moncada - Oblique, TBD Eloy - Hamstring, TBD but possibly end of season. Other than that, things are good! ☠️
  12. Wasn’t doubting the Op, but I searched Twitter and legit saw nothing so wanted to see where it came from.
  13. Dude is 77. It’s been 50 years since Tony remembers what it feels like to be in your 20’s.
  14. Lol, they better hope he can be a major leaguer at this point. He’s going to miss so much time over the last 2.5 years, his career is 100% at a crossroads
  15. I’d stop watching completely at that point. And I say that with confidence as I’m currently sitting outside with zero interest in watching the actual game. Soxtalk is more enjoyable than the product right now. I just don’t feel like spending my time on these guys.
  16. That’s not the White Sox way. Once you’re in, you’re in for life. If you have no prior connection to the organization, you won’t be considered.
  17. This. It’s an organizational failure, top to bottom. Players also included.
  18. He has one of the best eyes in baseball, is your highest paid hitter, and the pitcher on the mound can't find the zone. But @greg775 told me TLR is a great manager, it can't be debated!
