  1. I find him to be insufferable, so my vote would be no.
  2. I’m with him on the twitter hate, but if he doesn’t like it he can always delete it. I got rid of all that social media garbage and life is better without it. What does he realistically expect to read?
  3. Living through two world wars will really give a guy perspective.
  4. Andrew Vaughn looks like he’s ready to watch an episode of Murder She Wrote, have a glass of Ensure, and hit the hay. Kid looks 90 years old.
  5. You quoted his words without consent. That’s unethical. ...oops
  6. Teflon Rick Hahn is a pretty good handle. I’m partial to Rick Yawn myself. Short and to the point.
  7. Nice little dig at Joe West by Stoney.
  8. Collins has passed Robert and Yermin for team lead in OPS. Impressive for him.
  9. Do you remember when Garland was struggling before he got good? I want to say Contreras too but he was kind of a vet already. He doesn’t jump out at the first sight of danger. He never has.
  10. Is the new narrative on Coop that he’s lazy? Jesus. I get if you think he’s out of touch, but lazy? Should he do a mound visit every batter?
  11. Stone’s eyes look red as hell and he’s praising the bunting... *he’s part of the program now*
  12. Wow...Stone was pretty critical o the bunt decision. Laying on the sarcasm thick with “you have to love the bunt from a left handed batter against a right handed pitcher in the second inning.”
  13. Guys, calm down. It’s probably just a death threat.
  14. Yes, other than all the weaker links he is the weakest.
  15. Dotel didn’t close any deals, he was setup, man. Castillo was caught stealing, but luckily has a pretty good defense. I’ll see myself out.
  16. Nova’s at 1.4 WAR this season which is fine for a 5th starter on a contender. My issue is that the Sox would probably market his strong second half as evidence that he can be more than that.
  17. I wasn’t crazy about him until he said Betty White was a terrible person. Fan for life.
  18. This was my first time listening to a Bill Walton broadcast. To be honest, I found him annoying. A little publicity doesn’t hurt though, so I’m glad they did it. Also, comparing him to Stone and the whole “dead-air” argument (which isn’t even applicable to television as long as there’s still a visual of the broadcast) is ridiculous.
  19. Every time I read this thread title I read it to the tune of Benny and the Jets
  20. Haha gotcha. Missed that.
  21. Ok what am I missing?
  22. Surprised about the optimism for Burdi. I haven’t seen him pitch at all since coming back, but reports aren’t very flattering. He could always rebound, but I worry it has been enough time that his stuff should have already been closer to what it was if it’s ever going to get there again. I said Ruiz just because we’ve seen flashes of what he can do when he’s on and he hasn’t been pitching as long so his wrinkles are understandable.
  23. I must have missed the message that this thread was (supposed to be) about. Anyone care to fill me in?
  24. I just hope Gerrit Cole has friends and family aren’t horrible at baseball.
