  1. At least when JD gets rocked in an actual game that matters we can't continue the "oh it's just spring training, it doesn't count" excuse.
  2. I see no problem with this. Just insurance
  3. RaySox replied to Kyyle23's topic in Pale Hose Talk
    I usually try not to worry about spring performances either but can't help but to worry about John Danks... He just doesn't seem to have it at all. I know these games don't count but I think this is still a relevant topic.
  4. Perhaps we should wait to see if he's going to give up 6 homers ever 15 innings before offering any contracts
  5. I'd rather just pretend this game didn't happen
  6. QUOTE (soxfan2014 @ Mar 27, 2015 -> 01:27 PM) I assume if Gillaspie got hurt, then it would be Bonifacio/Beckham Sigh
  7. My opinion about Tyler Flowers wouldn't change even if he had a homer in each of his next 10 at bats
  8. I'm trying really hard not to care about the ridiculous amount of homers given up by Shark edit: nevermind, now i'm very worried
  9. QUOTE (greg775 @ Feb 20, 2015 -> 03:20 PM) This truly will be my last post on the matter. But don't some of you read responses? I gave you an example of the answer he might have given where there would be no story and it would be a vanilla answer that said nothing. Unfortunately some people can't think of perfect responses for every question given to them. That would be great though
  10. After the offseason we've had, I surely would hope our manager expects us to make the playoffs, or at least say so... think of how he would sound saying "I expect us to be a .500 team" or "I expect us to compete but we'll probably miss the playoffs." Wouldn't sound very nice
  11. QUOTE (MAX @ Feb 9, 2015 -> 06:11 PM) I'm trying not to want carlos quentin but its not working. same
  12. i actually really like this move... low risk, high reward. more props to Hahn
  13. RaySox replied to SJB23's topic in The Diamond Club
    If he can come at a decent price, i say go for him. We're trying to win this year right? Imagine a rotation of Sale, Samardzija, Quintana, Shields and hopefully eventually Rodon... holy cow. heck, with a rotation like that 1-4 i wouldn't even complain about a John Danks as the 5th starter. There would be a lot less pressure on Rodon and the organization to rush him into the rotation.
  14. Hey SoxTalk, I'm a pretty young fan and I continuously read these forums for news and conversations about the team I've always loved. I've even bookmarked the site because I check it pretty much every day. So I finally figured, hey, if I'm reading these every day... might as well join in on the conversating! Hope a young sox fan like me is welcome around here
