I was just wondering one day..... is there a Commodore 64 emulator? I had a ton of great games for the Commodore 64 and would play that for hours on end.

That's the same type of logic incorporating "lovable" into losing

Not having a good night

I beg to differ, offenses can win division (see Atlanta and Cleveland throughout the 90s). Are offense wasn't consistent at all though. We would have 10 run outbursts followed by a 1 or 2 run performance. Offenses can win divisions but it doesn't win in the playoffs. Atlanta's pitching won the divisions in the 90's. Cleveland..... I'll give you that one. But Cleveland didn't win any WS's even though they did get to the big one once. Crap, sorry I meant Atlanta this year. No problem. I meant to say World Series instead of divisions. We all make mistakes.

I agree, unless he's willing to take about 500K then get rid of him. I think for the first time ever in the offseason its pretty unanimous that the Sox need a change at shortstop. I'm a Jose fan but I couldn't agree with you more.

If this team hasn't learned that offense don't win divisions after the past 2 seasons, then they'll never learn. Pitching should be the sought after commodity this offseason. Hopefully KW has seen the error's of his ways.

Couldn't agree more. Invest something like 15 million in those two and I wouldn't have one complaint. That would be a hell of a 5 man rotation. As far as the lineup goes, move who you need to, to clear the way. You will go very far with that kind of pitching. Plus Scho/Wright stay in the pen which is nice, although it may piss Scho off. Hopefully he'll have the right attitude. Mix that with marte and Koch (Unless they somehow move him...we can hope). I'd move him for Benitez if it was possible. The Sox also have Wunsch, so they would in my opinion be alright going after one middle reliever and leaving one spot to Munoz/Sanders/Vet signing late in the offseason. Then if the youngsters struggle, pick up a reliever via trade. Scho should stay in the BP where he's needed and useful since he's a LH'er. If the situation arises, I'd deal Wright..... but wouldn't be totally against keeping him for spot starts (1 or 2 FOR THE SEASON) or BP work. We're stuck with Botch for another year due to KW attempting to stick it up Foulke's ass after dealing him to the A's and you know JR ain't eating the money owed to Botch on his contract so no Benitez. Move Marte into the closers spot. Sullivan will probably be retained as will Wunsch. Serious about winning JR? Complete the pen with Hawkins who'll replace Gordon who's gone since he's proven he can still close games. The BP just needs a tweak here and there with Wrong being the only question mark..... IMHO because you will not be able to move Botch and his contract and I don't foresee a Botch Renaissance.

If/when we lose Colon, considering the White Sox in July said that they are serious about winning , I don't think making up for losing Colon by adding Millwood and Ponson would be out of the question. At least it shouldn't be for a team that's trying to win

Good casting..... getting a Cub fan (Murray) to portray another Cub fan (Veeck) who owned the Chicago White Sox.

Expos will be in Montreal again next year.

He hit .308 with an OPS of .892. Now he has to work on making that translate to a full season. If he does...all I can say is All Star. Man I hope the Sox lock him up in a year or so. Crede is one of my fav's. I know RPS will back me on this one....NEVER TRADE CREDE Baltimore wanted Crede before the trade deadline. Thankfully, Kenny "3 for 1" Williams didn't bite. On a sidenote, RPS is MIA. He's been getting spammed and trolled by sCrUB fans. He's even had to change his AIM name .

Atlanta will sign Millwood and Pettite costs too much dinero.

Rowand was definitely at the Bears/Raiders game. He was wearing an Urlacher jersey and did an interview for the Chicago Sports Report (CSR) on FSN. If he re-injured his shoulder playing tackle football, he's a dumbf***. He looked fine during the CSR interview though.

Prior's good but he is not automatic

You lost me I assume the quote is about ShamME though

THE GOAT'S PISSED! Never give up hope. I hope against hope that we just saw Game 3 of 1984 all over again.

Close your eyes and who do you see?

I beg to differ. Of all the Sox starters, Garland put together the longest streak of consecutive quality starts this season. While he may not be a great number 3 starter, he is adequate and I can think of a lot of guys who would be worse as a number 3. I respect your opinion. I know you know your baseball and we both know MB is the man. But quality starts don't mean nothing to me when your career numbers paint you as a .500 or so pitcher. Jon Garland is the definition of mediocrity and is the perfect example of what this team is. One day Garland is the BoSox Slayer..... pitching 8 innings of 1-hit ball. The next start Garland is Tiger food..... pitching 4 innings of 7/8-hit ball and giving up 5-6 ER in the process. Garland has had more than enough time to prove he is an above average starter. It was supposed to be "The Year" for JG the past 2 seasons. He tanked. He don't have the stuff, isn't consistent enough, and is a number 4 at best. If this team is serious about winning , JG will be our number 5 in 2004. But I'm not counting on that happening.

When Colon jets, Garland will be our number 3. Garland's made up my mind after multiple seasons that he is a number 4 starter AT BEST..... and that is on a good day. How f***ing funny is that? This Organization is pitiful.
