  1. Since when? He only hit mid-90's a few times this season. Remember when Botch hit 96 MPH in the Sox/sCrUB game at Wrigley and when a reporter asked him about his velocity he replied..... after 1 pitch that was 95+...... that, "there's your f***ing heat"? Billy has a great work ethic. Wonderful. Maybe his work ethic will allow him to throw a
  2. KW has no plan. He'll let JR, the players, and their agents dictate which direction the team goes.
  3. If KW is ordering around his management hire like it was reported that he was doing to JM earlier this past season, I'd agree with you. Damaso Marte should be our closer next season. He's earned it and I believe the new manager hire will put Damaso in the closers role if he's a baseball man..... not a waste of space without Clue 1 about the BP like JM was. Botch is done. Book it.
  4. Say what you will about PK. But one thing he is not is a whiner. PK took all the blame for his slow start and fulfilled every fan-oriented obligation during his first-half slump without whining to anyone about his offensive troubles. When his bat got hot in the second-half, he still didn't whine about his abberation that was his first-half. Is PK slow? Yes. Did he hurt the team this season? Yes. Did he whine? No. You wanna talk about a whiner, look no further than Frank Thomas.
  5. BullPen bathroom attendant. Stick a fork in him. He's done. The Organization should do whatever they need to do to unload this waste of space. If that means eating the majority of the contract this Organization was dumb enough to give him before he threw pitch 1 for the White Sox, then so be it.
  6. I can practically guarantee that the reported $40 million is for signing Colon and Colon only. Don't look for this Organization to use that $40 million to sign a pitcher or two if Colon rejects the White Sox offer. JR will take that money off of the table and go the cheap route..... AGAIN!
  7. You know what really sucks about all this is that Brian Sutter will probably be fired during or right after this season. It really will suck to see him take a fall for really is the fault of Mike Smithov and those above. None of the 33 Sutter's currently or formerly employed by the SlackHawks have done s*** in their time in Chicago. Sutter's=Over-rated.
  8. Too bad Manuel didn't learn a thing or two from Leyland in the '97 WS huh?
  9. The Cubs are reportedly trying to convince Lofton to re-sign as a fourth OF for next season. Lofton's ego won't allow him to do that.
  10. I think that is going to be a "spire" that will be unoccupied. From what I heard, the new WTC building won't be as tall as the old Twin Towers.
  11. The tallest building ever to be built in the United States is the Sears Tower. After 09/11, you won't see a building taller than that built in the US anymore.
  12. How about if you come to the United States for life or work, LEARN HOW TO SPEAK f***ING ENGLISH! If the current trends continue, you'll have to speak 3 different languages to get by in this country in another 20 years because illegals don't bother learning the language anymore because their communities cater to these lazy, annoying f***ers.
  13. If Cabrera stays healthy, he will be 10 times the player C Lee currently is at the same point in careers.
  14. Captain Janks from the Stern Show got Dan Patrick Thursday afternoon. He asked DP if he "liked Howard Stern's butt cheese?"
  15. If the White Sox Organization doesn't shape up, I'm going to go the way of a Marlins fan..... follow the team but not go to any games and spend my hard earned money until there is a product for me to spend my money on. At least have the Organization show the fans they care about winning by firing a lame duck manager in April when he should have been canned would be a good start.
  16. I wish I shared your celebratory tone for a managerial candidate that, at one time, pretty much said f*** the fans. Ozzie would fit in this Organization though..... relatively cheap with no managerial experience where he can hone his managerial chops with the White Sox .
  17. Just because they interview a few big names don't mean jack s***. With Leyland's price-tag and the reported $$$$$ issues that come with Gaston, an interview with Leyland is pure window dressing to appease a PO'ed fanbase. Expect the cheapest candidate to manage the White Sox next season.
  18. Not really. s*** like this happens when you put 2 egotistical assholes in the same locker room.
