  1. Sweet for 2 reasons..... 1.) Sox tied the game up with one swing and eventually won..... sweeping the Twinks and; 2.) PK broke out of his slump with that swing
  2. Reinsdorf don't give two yaks nuts about what is going on on the Northside. JR should be attempting to field the most competitive team every year regardless of what the Cubs do. He doesn't. He's perfectly happy paying for mediocrity as long as he shows a profit at the end of the year. It's going to stay that way. First Place? Last Place? Who cares? Just show me the green!!!!!
  3. Hopefully the cutter works for Cotts exactly how it worked for Loaiza.
  4. I think Cleveland is going to be a factor in the AL Central sooner than alot of people think.
  5. If the deal was Ichiro at $6 million and Maggs at $14 million, and that meant that we could resign most of our FA's, I'd do it in a heartbeat. I'm with you there. A player like Ichiro is exactly what this team needs. We already have a team chock-full of players that can hit the ball over the fence. Ichiro and..... say R Alomar...... near the top of the order.....
  6. Jerry Manuel finally getting AXED!!!!!
  7. Rush Limbaugh is a douche but if everyone in the media is gonna make a big deal out of this, then why didn't the media make a big deal out of Dusty's [(More than likely) D-racist asshole] race-based comments in June?
  8. If Fick don't f*** up that DP-ball with the bases loaded, Atlanta wins 2-0. FICK HIM!!!!! :fyou

    RW and Urlacher

f*** them. Hopefully they are the worst f***ing team in the history of the NFL this year so we at least get consolation for sucking..... #1 pick in the NFL Draft. But I'm sure McCaskey and Co. would find a way to f*** even that up.
  10. Because, through it all, the White Sox are our team. It's just that many here haven't seen anything to be positive about since '59. And the majority of younger posters can only go back to '83, '93, and..... to a lesser extent..... 2000. Each season, same result. This Organization is predictable and Sox fans know what to expect when it comes to signing marque players, hiring managers, making trades, etc. We can pick through all the psychobabble and, when all is said and done, the White Sox will field a team and hire the coaches that cost the least amount of money as possible. The current Ownership doesn't work any other way. $$$$$ is the bottom line. Not Championships and definitely not the fans. Alot to be positive about there.
  11. Wouldn't they be losing revenue from FSN paying the Organizations for the rights to broadcast their games ?
  12. Thats about what I had heard too. 10-12 mil is about where I had pegged Colon's worth also. If any team offers him more than that then they are grossly overpaying for him. "Grossly overpaying" is just the price of business for Steinbrenner and the Yankees.
  13. Until the Twins owned the stiff in the playoffs Geez.. what's with the talk about how "stiff" Koch is.. Not Koch is stiff..... Koch is A stiff
  14. Until the Twins owned the stiff in the playoffs
  15. I wish I shared your faith. This guys track record on the big trades speak volumes though for me. Bust, after bust, after bust. Frightens me that KW will be GM if Maggs is dealt like the rumors here believe he will be.
  16. Thanks for pointing out the obvious
  17. Pacheco is number 10 on Rex's BA list
  18. True. But 10 million of their dollars weren't sunk into a stiff closer
  19. If they get rid of the WildCard bulls*** they could move the start of the season back another week. But they won't because WildCards keep fan interest in 5 or 6 more cities a year .
