    Larussa?

I certainly hope it is. I'm sick of cheap, no-name, bench coaches from other MLB teams instead of a proven winner.
  2. Too bad these players passion for JM couldn't be translated into their on-field play. I don't think it is so much JM than it is the country club lifestyle JM allows to occur in the clubhouse win or lose. Exactly. Also, lets not forget these players were making these comments AFTER they knew JM was gone. MB is just worried someone might actually MANAGE him...........this guys turning out to be just like Frank.... We need a manager that isn't going to take losing to the Tigers 2 out of 3 times AT HOME and being swept by the Tigers on the road like it's a lost/swept series to the A's or Yankees.

    Larussa?

We're thinking the same thing then

    Larussa?

I think it's mostly rumor. I don't think LaRussa will want to manage for any team owned by JR. JMO though.

    Larussa?

Cubs will be sub .500 next season. Guaranteed.

    Larussa?

I don't know what terms LaRussa and JR are on after LaRussa's first White Sox managing stint. But I do know that alot of people in St. Louis are saying that he has lost touch with and the respect of his players. Heard it had something to do with that shouting match with Dusty Baker during the Cubs Series at Wrigley Field when the Cardinals lost 4 out of 5. Might be better able to understand it if you check out a Cardinals board. I'm sure it's there somewhere.
  8. I'm beyond done trying to figure out France. I hope and pray that if that piss-poor country is ever invaded again, we just sit back and let it happen. I know we won't let it happen, but we should. :fyou France
  9. Chimp better thank his lucky stars everyday that his grandfather was a Chicago Sports Media Icon. If he wasn't, Chimp would be shuffling papers for some nondescript office complex making 25,000 a year. Wasn't Chimp hired by the Trib during the offseason before Harry passed thinking they would have a grandfather/grandson announce team?
  10. The judge is one of Oklahoma's most liberal if I'm not mistaken. This was bound to happen eventually though. You don't have the right to make your life easier by your own choosing anymore. At least lawyers don't think you have that right.
  11. Someone else on the "other board" referred to it as the Chicago Media's "Shock and Awe" Cubbie Campaign Speaking of Radio C.U.B.S., I listened to the Cubs broadcast on WGN last night after watching Cincinnatti score 6 while on break. Pat Hughes is good enough but Ron Santo is f***ing awful. He's like post-stroke Harry (now I know why Santo is a god amongst Chicago's NorthSide fans) with inane ramblings and always getting players names wrong. He called Alfonseca Zambrano at a point in the game where Zambrano hadn't pitched for the last 3 innings. He hollars and screams during a radio broadcast making the listener think something great, pro-Cubbie, just occurred only to hear Hughes dejectedly say, "And the ball is caught on the warning track" or, "A backhanded, running catch by Casey." Gimme Rooney and Farmer anyday.
  12. Don't worry. This liberal judge's ruling will be taken care of by the US House and Senate.
  13. Why would the ACC want to water down it's talent pool with Notre Dame ?
  14. They have to make it to the playoffs first
  15. And that was damn close to being a sweep by the Tigers. I know. We were there
  16. And why are all of the pinwheels backwards ?
  17. I hate to say it, because St. Louis is my favorite NL team, but the RedBirds are out of it.
  18. I think so. Good to see ShamME's 2 HR night get overshadowed on ESPN by Delgado's 4 HR effort .
  19. Or someone was trying to make good on the much-criticized Botch for AL All-Star and AL Saves Leader Foulke trade . I would have much rather seen Rauch up here but I think he may have been on the DL at the time. Doesn't matter. If we had a 5th starter all season that could have won just 10 games, we'd have won this s*** Division. But KW is the man! :puke
  20. Rightfully so. He sucked ass the first two months..... injury or not.
  21. I have to disagree. But, even though he may be an asshole, I think as a manager he wouldn't allow this team to CorpseBall its way through the last two seasons. JMO however.
