  1. cant wait to watch Leury penciled in for 450 ABs this season
  2. Based Crick, im a fan.
  3. Im bored of the same old talk in this thread. Lets discuss an Eloy trade that would improve the MLB club. Who wants to take up the challenge?
  4. This is why Hahn didnt feel the need to go after SP this offseason, Lopez had his eyes looked at and he now has confidence! https://www.mlb.com/whitesox/news/reynaldo-lopez-seeing-results-of-eye-surgery
  5. was it really a fluke though? We were one of the worst teams when it came to launch angle which resulted in all the singles and double plays throughout the series. Our starters blew up. The bullpen decisions were questionable. It was a bad matchup and the Astros played well
  6. Sox could have filled a massive hole with Story and/or Conforto but will sign neither and settle on a AAA platoon and a 35 year old on the downtrend.
  7. Another AL team getting better, im really looking forward to that vaughn/sheets/engel platoon and Harrison's 700 OPS this season!
  8. thats a fair take, but if i were to put money on it i would say Rodon will be more valuable than Kopech. The biggest factor is health and inning limits, not even sure what the Giants will do with Rodon, but im not expecting many innings out of Kopech this year. edit: and if Kopech is throwing like 2021 Rodon I hope that they are smarter than to leave him in a game where we are up by 13 just so he can feel good about pitching thru the 6th inning. Please dont needlessly tire his arm out.
  9. that dumpster is in a too rich of a neighborhood for Hahn to dive in
  10. yeah his potential is there, but he made his debut 4 years ago and has 83 innings under his belt. Not many as a starter. Hes not going to be counted on to do anything drastic this year. In that same time Rodon threw 300 innings. of course not, people werent clamoring that we wouldnt need another pitcher because we had Rodon returning either Lets hope they dont go the Rodon route with Kopech. Also if you think Rodon didnt care about that playoff game then you definitely didnt watch it or have ever played a competitive sport in your life. Im sure he was "half hearted" throwing his first career postseason start in a contract year after almost having to retire from baseball. Nice take
  11. Do people here honestly think Kopech is going to replace Rodons production from last year? What are you smoking?
  12. they are out of reach, but is there anything else we can add in that Dodgers would be interested in? within reason of course
  13. over/under: Carlos Correa and Byron Buxton combining for 200 games played this season
  14. Leury Garcia - 5.5 million Harrison - 5 million Kimbrel - 16 million Vasquez (oops, meant Velasquez) - 3 million
  15. Ill say it, ban me or whatever i get it, but the day Jerry croaks ill pop open a bottle of champagne.
  16. I hate Hahn, Jerry, and Kenny so much right now. I really really do. This organization is so awful, just mind boggling bad
  17. if Voit stays healthy i like that pickup for the Padres
  18. it was a joke, but with how the guardians develop pitchers it would be very fitting
  19. Hahn trading Madrigal (pre arb), Heuer (pre arb), and future Guardians ace Pilkington (milb deal) has led to Kimbrel (16 million) and Harrison (5 million) and an inability to improve the club with money.
  20. Cant believe the Mets grabbed Bassitt for that cheap. Unbelievable
  21. its almost like the FO is having their own Impractical Jokers skit. Hahn lost a challenge. Jerry: Now tell the fans that we signed Leury Garcia for 3 years and 11 million Kenny: Great, now tell them we signed Harrison for $5 million and a MiLB pitcher for $3 million!! Jerry: Call it an offseason, boy these fans are idiots! *both laugh hysterically as Hahn breaks the news to reporters*
  22. if this is what the market will be for Conforto then Hahn is doing a good job not biting, go get a SP from Oakland and call it an offseason. Man do I wish we got Harper a few years back.
  23. My god that bryant contract is atrocious
