I just went ahead and looked at Orioles fans thoughts in 2024 when Fuller got canned. The general sentiment was for a more small ball, contact approach. Looking at how the last two years went for them, i bet they regret it. I also saw this Fuller quote about RISP in 2024: “(They) dont need to hit a home run. A single here is just as good as a home run, because we score the guy, and we get a guy on first base and we keep the momentum going”.

If you look at swing length it definitely changed. 7.8 to 8.1. How much that affects K% i dont know, but it does make sense if velocity was an issue especially up in the upper third of the strike zone.

I am not convinced Colson ever got back to 100% and was either playing through it or was mentally aware of it. Prior to the spasms, his K% was 29 as it was in 2025. I know he said he was perfectly healthy and his issues stemmed from a mental lapse, but I am not sure I believe it.

How and where can I see what Colson's Whiff% is against 96+mph fastballs? Is there a way to see what that looks like in the first half vs second half? Playing around with Statcast I am not finding that option.

Would Brandon Woodruff make sense on a short “prove it” deal? He hasnt pitched much over the last 3 years due to injuries and i doubt the Brewers make a QO because of it. I am not saying hes THE target, but worth the gamble as a second target. His profile looks solid for our park when hes on, career 41.4 GB%

The Rays offense hasnt done s%*# in this ALCS, if it wasnt for a Ramirez error they get shut out tonight. They have only scored in 3 innings so far. I dont think the approach to hitting we have is wrong or bad by any means. We did better against this pitching staff. The 21k game is an exception obviously, but we never have to see that if we had any kind of pitching.

Loved seeing Ramirez be the reason they lost tonight. Also after seeing the Rays get dominated by CLE pitching, we should be less critical of our guys. The Rays have looked bad the last two nights.

Do any of you foresee bullpen arms being tired for next season based on their usage this year? I am assuming we miss a couple months next year so that might not be an issue, but in the case of a full season?

Antonacci's OPS against LHP was carried by the fact he was HBP 11 times. If that is him going forward fine, but I am worried that he hasn't shown the ability to hit the ball against them. 18 singles, 4 doubles, 5 walks in 114 plate appearances just shows me he will continue to need help there especially with how his LF defense is lacking. The issue is we have a similar player in RF who has similar offensive struggles against LHP. I love him and want him to be a fixture on this team but he needs to improve in those two areas going forward.

I don't think we are in the position to allow Newcomb to stretch his arm when we have Taylor and Hagen doing the same. Newcomb hasn't been a starter since 2018.
