I'm kinda surprised they didn't send down Ruiz instead of dfa Minaya. Minaya has not been that bad for the last year and a half. I know Ruiz has great stuff but he is very raw. Does Ruiz not have options left?

I agree. You need to have some luck in a rebuild and the Sox got very lucky on a move that most everyone here thought was a meh move. As stated earlier, just being part of Giolito's development is enough to keep McCann around.

Thanks for the additional recommendations Tex. I have already been back from San Antonio and didn't see your post until now. However, I am really looking forward to returning there again soon.
