  1. I've got a pen that when you push it down it plays Hawk calling a game winning home run by Jose Valentin.....You can put it on the board, YES!!! I also love an autographed photo of Minnie Minoso that my wife gave me (when we were engaged) from when Minnie came to where she was working downtown. She said he was just the nicest man, which agrees with any story I've ever heard about him.
  2. I voted for the decent range option. My guess is that they will go quickly for the type B free agents that they like and offer deals no longer than 3-4 years. Hopefully they target the right guys. I highly doubt that they will be in on the top free agents.
  3. They are gonna drive opposing pitchers nuts....I think I am gonna love them all Poppy!!
  4. I have always loved watching Yoan and Timmy run the bases.
  5. Top of the lineup having an especially rough night
  6. I thought it was interesting last night when they said Pagan had 5 blown saves with an era under 2....make that 6 blown now
  7. I'm feeling a big game from Castillo. And yes that win was quite nice!!
  8. Let's have another nice game boys. Giolito is ready to build on the nice start from Lopez yesterday.
  9. Hey baseball can be fun to watch. ?
  10. Did they say Pagan has 5 blown saves with that era under 2? That's an odd stat.
  11. Let's have a nice clean game boys!!. Gonna head home and get out of the heat and enjoy some winning White Sox baseball in the AC.
  12. How about multiple DHs for anyone who is only good defensively? That might help the future White Sox with all the possible DH options.
  13. I'm expecting a big game from the former AFL MVP...Engel.
  14. I don't disagree with Stone that Timmy Anderson is the leader of this team but to go down the toilet like they have since the Allstar Break is very disappointing. I am not expecting a big beautiful house from the team this year, but I would at least like a nice little SheShed like State Farm is gonna give that lady in the commercial.
  15. He is a tremendous defensive outfielder. If only MLB had the rule where you could steal first base, the man of steal would see his OBP skyrocket.
  16. I loved Willie. For some reason that name reminds me of another guy...Pablo Ozuna. His walk off bunt was an unbelievable end to a game!!
  17. I am looking for nominations for the All Time White Sox players who weren’t too good on the South Side but had that “great clubhouse presence” feeling attached to them. These players could have been mediocre all their career or just with the Sox. Take Ken Griffey Jr., an undeniable hall of famer for his career. Then take White Sox Ken Griffey Jr, a lighter hitting DeWayne Wise type but with less range. But thanks for that throw in the Blackout Game, Ken. That was great fun!! Now to get the recency bias out of the way…I nominate Yonder Alonso.

It's interesting that they called him a 1B in that article. I figured he was always an OF.

I was actually thinking about him earlier today and wondering why the Sox did not take him especially with their past history of drafting relatIves of staff members.

Oh no, are we gonna see his "no warming up" ass on the South Side again this year?
  21. We want to give Cordell an extended look so it wouldn't be fair to bring up Robert now.
  22. wegner replied to soxfan49's topic in FutureSox Board
I expect him to be a doubles machine when he takes over in RF in 2021. He will be able to spray the ball around the field and also turn on some balls for HR. He might just not have the power many want in a RF but I'm looking for a 1-9 lineup that puts the pressure on opposing pitchers with no let up.

Anybody else wanna get on my Steele Walker bandwagon? There's plenty of room for more!!
  24. 25th+ guy...he will probably be back in the show when someone gets hurt to fill in. I like him, probably because he's a lifelong Sox fan, but he is what he is and not more. I hope he likes Charlotte or Omaha or whatever AAA affiliate he plays for the majority of the rest of his career. Then let him come home when he retires and take over for Mike Huff at the Bulls/Sox academy.
  25. You know what, I get wanting the extra service time out of Robert and keeping him down because if he does what he can, you are looking at superstar money that the Sox will probably not pay. Plus, money wise he does not really have a complaint with the bonus he was paid. But Madrigal will not get superstar money, so let's bring him up now and get him acclimated to the Major Leagues. His glove will play now, he would be something to watch the rest of the year, and Yolmer can watch over the Gatorade jug just in case we win another game.
