Fully on Getz at this point. The cost to get a mediocre rental like a Brady Singer can’t possibly be that high. Trotting out Kay and Schultz is embarrassing.

I’m sorry but it’s fully on Getz at this point to keep trotting Schultz out there. You cannot tell me the rental price is that much higher a week before deadline that you can’t find someone to take meaningful innings.

Idk man. It’s hard to watch Quero and nothing he just doesn’t have it to be a ML catcher. Everything from the defensive tools to bat speed is just not there.

Colson’s back definitely is not healthy. I don’t think that’s a shin thing. He looks ginger even just swinging normally.

Seems like starter depth and sounds like he’ll report to AAA. Would imagine he takes some starts if someone gets hurt. Or maybe they’re expecting to deal some of the other AAA pitching depth (ex: Mason Adams), who knows.

A lot of bickering in here…feel like we should be focused on rumors in this thread. I’m still kinda shocked at the Merkin piece yesterday on Mason Miller. Makes me think they’re actually exploring some bigger trades since he doesn’t go out on a limb much and is pretty tethered to the team.

Will is truly terrible at managing pitchers. I’ve never seen someone with such an absurdly long leash for ineffective starters and relievers.

Don’t care that they weren’t supposed to compete this year, Getz needs to add pitching depth. They have 0 guys in the system that inspire any confidence and a ton of position prospects. At least get some middle relief. Figure it out man.
