Well, Alonso not batting 4th tonight but still a dumb lineup. Literally the next worst hitter batting clean-up: Beef. Not even facing a lefty tonight (Verlander). Yonder hitting 6th in front of our 2 hottest hitters, Timmy and Tilson. Not sure why they are batting lower in the order. Timmy can drive in runs and Tilson can get on base.

I guess logjam was probably the incorrect term with all of the injury risks. I was thinking of terms in what Keuchel will probably command, 4-5 years would be my guess.

Unless you can sign Keuchel to a 1 year deal to fill out hole, I say hard pass. We are gonna have a log jam with the rotation next year and I dont want a veteran blocking anyone.

Well, I would rather have the decision working out than whatever the most favorable strategy is, which may or may not work out. And in that situation, with runners on 2nd and third and less than 2 outs (or was it bases loaded? Can't remember) in a close game in the 8th and considering who was up...not sure there is a more favorable strategy. Maybe trying for a sac fly? But then you run the risk of hitting into a double play, and even if the sac was successful, Cordell is out. He was safe with this bunt AND scored the run. Each play has it's risks which are higher lr lower depending on the situation. I think bunting there was the most favorable option. That is my opinion.

Which I agree with. Don't get me wrong, there were many instances where I didnt care for the Sox showing bunt early in the game (esp. with Moncada), but Toronto did it just as much. It's not just the White Sox. There is a time and a place for it, and that was the time and place. Worked to perfection.
