  1. Just sitting here waiting for Rodon to get called back up to the Sox. What are the chances he pitches for them Sunday?? I don't think he needs another start at Charlotte or any more rest.
  2. http://www.milb.com/scoreboard/index.jsp?cid=&lid=&org=145&sc=&sid=milb&t=affiliate&ymd=20180529 Rodon back on the bump after getting hit with a liner in the head a few days ago. If all goes well, maybe we see him in Chicago on Sunday? Cease also pitching today.
  3. Step 1: go to White Sox.com Step 2: click on "view active roster" Step 3: Realize this is currently a minor league team plus Jose Abreu Step 4: Delete this thread Step 5: crack open a cold one and suck it up buttercup cuz Ricky is going nowhere fast.
  4. It's insane. I forget where I heard it, but I guess the Brewers said he should go back to the leg kick swing. He said he was actually more comfortable hitting like that, except the Sox coaching staff didn't want him to do it, and now look at him. I really hope we get a different offensive coaching staff when we are trying to compete.
  5. SO many injuries. I think the only position players to not lose any playing time this year are Yolmer, Anderson and Engel. Not to mention all of the minor league injuries. Make it stop!!!
  6. There's the difference between AAA hitters and mlb hitters...you can't get away with those walks in the mlb. He needs to figure out his control. That is his main issue.
  7. 3 runs literally given away to Baltimore through walks.
  8. The only starting players on this team to not have missed any playing time is Yolmer, Anderson and Engel. Everyone else has missed game action in some respect whether it be due to illness, injury, or suspension. That is literally 2/3 of the opening day starting lineup, also Leury. Not to mention all of the injury setbacks in the minors.
  9. Uh, if he pitches like this in his next start, he's probably being sent down. I wouldn't be surprised if they brought up Kopech if he has a real good start his next time out.
  10. Tilson also was just called up...I wonder if that means Eloy will be going? Or maybe they are just waiting for Robert to push someone from WS to BIR
  11. This team would rival the Knights. I thought they said Gio was starting to get the feel for it? Also, does this mean Gio gets the hook to AAA? This has Carson Fulmer remnants all over it. All it needs is a nice grand slam here
  12. Still has not been officially announced. I guess it's a non-ped related issue (like Cano?) Maybe he will appeal. No details as of yet though.
  13. This injury facade is just getting stupid
  14. Literally the best screw-up of Garfein's career
  15. Interesting. I guess I view Leury as being more of a strong definition of utility than Yolmer.
  16. Is Yolmer a utility player? Doesn't utility player mean bench guy, or is it another term used for someone who can play multiple positions? Because last I checked Yolmer is and has been our starting third baseman since opening day, and rightfully so.
  17. Yeah, in this day and age, they are hittable, especially if the hitter knows what to expect. Maybe more effective for a reliever, but for a starter, he needs a lot more than just being able to throw hard. He needs to learn how to command his offspeed and use it strategically. Which, in my opinion, he can learn in the majors. I just think they are looking for results from Kopech right now. Could be wrong, but just my opinion on why he isn't up yet. Of course, if Covey continues to pitch the way he is pitching tonight, they won't call him up until, my guess, July or August, especially with Rodon coming back. However, if one of our starters gets injured, I bet Kopech is the next in line to get the call.
  18. I know he is working on his changeup and he does have a good slider. The command is the issue, you are correct.
  19. WHY IS EVERYONE GETTING HURT OR SICK OR WHATEVER. This has got to be the worst injury/illness related season in my 15 years of being a White Sox fan.
  20. Yeah 100 pitches only 57 strikes. Gotta get better at finding the zone if he is going to compete. Hard fastballs at the major league level won't do anything unless the pitcher has a nasty offspeed pitch to compliment it...which he currently is working on.
