To answer your question, which you oddly asked very defensively, I would much rather have had a manager that has very recently (like, 0-1 seasons removed) come from a team that's had a sustained culture of winning. Not saying Mr. Pedro won't d o a fine job, but the Kansas City Royals culture and mentality doesn't exactly scream "championship caliber".

I'm gonna be in the minority here...yes them hiring a former manager is just totally white sox...but I don't think Ozzie will be as bad as people might think. If you listened to him on the pre/post this year...he waa clamoring for the same thing all of us were when it came to decision making. I think he actually fits this team well and will give them the fire and the kick in the ass that they need. And he can interact well with both the Latin and non-Latin guys. Just suck Abreu won't be back because I think he would absolutely flourish under Ozzie.

What Eloy needs to realize is, even though he hates DH'ing, it's idiotic to put him anywhere else. Literally the only value he provides is with his bat, and it's huge value. Putting him in LF makes the team worse defensively, gives him greater risk for injury which diminishes not only the value he brings to the team, but his future earnings as well. Someone needs to slap him and make him realize that he needs to learn to like DH'ing, otherwise he isn't going to have much of a career in this league. And Lord knows this team needs to get more speed and a better glove in both corner outfield spots.

Oddly enough, the rebuilding teams from 17-19 had great chemistry from what I remember. Just no talent. This team has talent, just no chemistry. And no health.
