I mean honestly, what player that has an actual market would willingly play for this Sox "team" after last season and the rumors of how bad the clubhouse and management is.

Believing the White Sox will make any exciting moves and then being completely disappointed on Opening Day is akin to believing in Santa only to find out on Christmas morning there aren't any presents under the tree because yo broke ass didn't go out and buy any.

If Vaughn worked out in RF I bet they would have resigned Abreu. Turns out a first baseman can't play the outfield full time.

If and when Eloy is healthy (I know that's something you can't count on), he's a better power hitter than Abreu. Which is what the DH position needs to be. But...you can't count on Eloy's health.

If this team can just stay healthy they should be one of the most dominant teams in the league...

My God. People need to learn reading comprehension. Nowhere did I say I turned on him. Did you watch last season at all? The lack of leadership in that clubhouse was quite obvious. Not one guy stepped up that should have, INCLUDING Abreu. It wasn't just "one day that he took off," it was his LAST game as a White Sock after multiple dominant seasons...and you don't say goodbye? That on top of everything else that happened last year definitely makes me question his leadership ability. There's a difference between the meanings of "leadership" and "work ethic." One of them you can have without the other, the other you can't. And to me, evidence shows he MIGHT have had the one that doesn't require the other.

That last game where Jose just sat in the dugout without having a proper send-off is just so strange. Fans didn't get to say goodbye. Don't get me wrong I love the guy, was the most professional player in that clubhouse, but last season and then that stunt really made me question his leadership ability. The Sox need new guys that can play AND lead. That said, Jose, I wish you nothing but the best.

This is where I'm at. I'll get excited when they address the real issues. Defense and power.

Should've kept Narvaez. Much cheaper. Left-handed. While not an offensve machine still a better hitter than Grandal. Better leader. Became better on defense. Grandal has to be one of the worst defensive catchers out there. Omar gets injured but still a better option than Grandal. Again much cheaper. And younger.
