November 28, 20223 yr Yuck Would have preferred he went to NL so I could somewhat root for him but whatever. Edited November 28, 20223 yr by wegner
November 28, 20223 yr At least we will see him the opening series of the year where he tends to start slower than most
November 28, 20223 yr The luckiest people are any Abreu's Amigos he helps in Houston....I'm sure those in Chicago will miss him greatly.
November 28, 20223 yr That fit was sadly obvious. And yeah, this hurts the White Sox's chances a lot.

November 28, 20223 yr Happy for Jose. He may very well get a ring. Would have preferred an NL team, tbh. But Sox made their bed, now they have to sleep in it.

KW signed jeff Nelson specifically because the Big Hurt had a lot of problems hitting him. He gave up the 2nd homer. IIRC, the first was his first AB.

November 28, 20223 yr No one seems to agree with me but something transpired between the Sox and Jose prior to spring training last year. He was not even close to the same person in 2022. No clue what it was, but I'm guessing it was bad.

They could have signed him if they wanted to. I understand needing to make a decision between Jose and Vaughn, unless they were content with having Vaughn play out of position again. But damn it'll suck to see him in an Astros uniform.
