  1. QUOTE (South Side Fireworks Man @ Jul 17, 2016 -> 04:01 PM) And Morneau. Nah, not yet. Yesterday he was up with the tying run at 3rd and struck out. He needs to prove himself. But when you have a struggling Frazier hitting behind you that's a little hard to do. I would hit Morneau in front of Frazier.
  2. QUOTE (South Side Fireworks Man @ Jul 17, 2016 -> 03:57 PM) Melky is good. He is the best hitter on this team. He is the only one I trust to be hitting in scoring situations. Him and maybe Eaton.
  3. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 17, 2016 -> 03:53 PM) Turner is freaking terrible. What a stupid decision by a horrible front office 3 straight rockets and a walk. Keep getting behind hitters, that's what you're going to get.
  4. That about sums up the White Sox in that one play right there.
  5. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 17, 2016 -> 03:43 PM) Wtf happened to Anderson over the break? His swing looks awful right now. Needs to be moved down in the order IMO Eventually I think he will be. I like Eaton first and Anderson second, personally, even if the lefty/righty thing is messed with a bit.
  6. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jul 17, 2016 -> 03:32 PM) It amaEs me how many just horrible pitches Sox hitters have swung at. It amazes me how they swing and miss and foul off extremely hittable pitches, such as an 83 mph fastball down the middle which I'm sure they will see quite a bit today.
  7. The White Sox were just shutout for 2 games in a row, both against last place teams with mediocre pitching. Yet they win series against teams such as...Boston, Toronto, etc.
  8. QUOTE (elrockinMT @ Jul 16, 2016 -> 12:28 AM) For the most part he has been like gasoline added to the fire. Pretty much that way since that Texas series How does Albers go from being a lights out pitcher to...the "alternative" option out of the pen?
  9. The Sox have one of the best pitching staffs in the MLB with the way Gonzalez is pitching with the rest of the starters...it really sucks that the position players just screw them over all the time. Today it's offensively and defensively...usually not one to bring negativity but seriously. Play like winners.
  10. QUOTE (StrykerSox @ Jul 15, 2016 -> 11:59 PM) Navarro is a f***ing piece of s***. Absolutely no one I'd like to see at the plate less in a big situation. Not even Tyler Flowers?
  11. Fastball right down the middle and golfs it a mile in the air.
  12. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 15, 2016 -> 11:51 PM) At Boston I think. Avi hasn't homered in forever as well Hitting is contagious...as they say.
  13. Just curious...when was the last time Abreu hit a homerun?
  14. Yeah I agree with you guys. Eventually he will be a starter, and the way things are going I think he will be up in the pen by August sometime especially his his numbers keep improving, and whether the Sox are winning or not. If they are winning...great. They will need the pen help and I would rather have Fulmer in there than Ynoa or Beck or Kahnle...etc. If they are losing and out of the race...the experience couldn't hurt even if he gets knocked around a bit or has control issues. If he does indeed make it as a starter, a rotation of Sale, Q, Rodon Shields and Fulmer (by mid 2017?) doesn't look too shabby. There are a lot of "ifs" in that projected rotation, such as Rodon's continued development and Shields' questionable stability, and obviously Fulmer's development, but what rotation doesn't have some questions?
  15. http://www.csnchicago.com/chicago-white-so...wo-futures-game Struck out 2 in the futures game...projecting more as a reliever. With the Sox hurting for relief, maybe this is the time to bring him up? I honestly would hate to see them trade away talent for relief pitching from another team unless that relief is under control for a few years. Looks like Fulmer though isn't going to be a starter, according to his own words in this article anyway. Thoughts? Should they keep him down there a little longer or bring him up now?
  16. I love listening to Hawk. Brings me back to my childhood every game when I hear his voice. Not that Benetti is bad, but I prefer Hawk over him (I realize I may be stoned for saying that). Just something about it. I hope Hawk continues to call games as long as he can get around. He may say some stupid stuff sometimes, but you know what, he's been doing this for how long? He can say some stupid stuff if he wants. He basically owns that booth. I love listening to his stories and his baseball insight...and I'm not some 60 y/o, I'm in my twenties.
  17. Too early to start talking about rookie of the year for Timmy?? Who would be up against him for the award this year if he is in the running for it at the end?
  18. Frazier and Abreu just cannot layoff breaking pitches in the dirt. They just cannot do it. It's like clockwork.
  19. QUOTE (WilliamTell @ Jul 2, 2016 -> 04:43 PM) That's the annoying part of the shifts, Anderson looked to have a hit, but instead just a ground out. Yup. The good hitters can place the ball in the holes.
  20. This team just looks lost and dead offensively. No consistency. I want them to win as much as anyone else, but I think it's time to start being realistic. This team will probably float around .500 for the rest of the season.
  21. Gomez is always overdramatic when he hits. I really dislike that.
  22. QUOTE (elrockinMT @ Jul 1, 2016 -> 08:39 PM) Leave two in scoring position It's their specialty
