  1. Giolito the bust confirmed.
  2. The magician without little is fine.
  3. Won't get to the arms to use up if you're wasting scoring opportunities by having bad players bat early.
  4. Well that's the same message pitching coaches give them. And in post game interviews pitchers always say they just need to throw strikes.
  5. And that team only won 88 games.
  6. Don't make excuses for this man. He sucks.
  7. I'm in left field behind where Eloy made that catch. Can someone tell me what is up with YoYo? He looks awful up there. Is he getting breaking balls or something?
  8. People here at the game hate Lopez. I'm just not sure he is a starting pitcher in this rebuild.
  9. The Sox tough team is Minnesota, who in reality probably aren't as good as any of the big 3 in the AL East in a playoff series.
  10. Well you are talking like the Cubs are done or that it is easy to win games. Their run isn't over and them struggling right now isn't the end of the world.
  11. This is baseball, you aren't gonna just roll every year. The Cubs have played in three NLCS's. How many teams win multiple titles in a three of 4 year span? The Dodgers are more loaded than the Cubs and they have zero titles. The Yankees are loaded but how many have they won recently? The Astros are loaded and have one title and flamed out last season. I think many of you are gonna be disappointed if you think we are gonna be winning boatloads of titles. The Cubs are down this season, but they can turn it around and still even retool next season.
  12. The defending champion red Sox only have 1 less loss than us as well. We also play a garbage schedule.
  13. I've been to a few of Lopez's starts and will be there today. He is boring out there in a bad way. He is slow to deliver, over thinks, and when someone gets on base he holds the ball even longer and slows his delivery. I know it's bad when the Misses asks about it.
  14. The Cubs will be fine because they have the money to overcome mistakes they make. They could still reach the playoffs this season by winning a weak division. They are far from done.
  15. I think he means have a sustained 7 year run of dominance. The Cubs had a great three years of playoff success thus far. Last year, I don't count them as a playoff team as they didn't play a series.
  16. To be honest, the Tigers suck so much tell him to throw down the middle.
  17. The fans want the player for an extra year to cheer for. It's not about who gets the money.
  18. Yeah this is true and I'd understand if the Sox made him wait. I just don't think you should screw players over with service time after they come up.
  19. I wonder if he will soon go by Carlos.
  20. White Sox page says Lopez, Cease, Detwiler for our next 3. It is weird that stuff is different on different sites.
  21. It's going to rain probably on and off throughout the game. The downpour shouldn't be too much longer.
  22. He will start tomorrow I believe. But I can also see him getting a short leash on the roster when Covey is ready.
  23. I need to see at least two years of good baseball from him. I think he will get there, but one year can be a fluke. He may not regress to bad, but he could regress to a number 3 or 4 starter. I still want a veteran because they have that experience. If Gio remains really good, then we will benefit anyway.
