The first paragraph isnt true. They can sign lower guys and have an average payroll. They won't sign premium talent but they will load up on bad contracts and mid tier guys. They will also have to pay Mocada and Gio big deals in 4 years.

Stras or Bum need to be signed to stabilize our rotation. Cole, Grienke, or Kuechel also need to be acquired to give us a true contending rotation.

I don't think it is that tall of an order. We can definitely find two solid starters and 2 bullpen arms. We can also put Rodon and Lopez in the pen for all I care.

I don't care about strikeouts or high average with him. Just give me an OBP of .340 to .350 with power and I'm good with him. I just don't want to see our typical stiff of a LH power bat hitting .180 with meh power numbers.

He may not be lying. Moniak and Senzel were the only two guys I would pick over Collins at one that year, and maybe the Sox preferred a power Catcher over them.

He can strike out all he wants this year. Our expectations are lowered, but we want to be pleasantly surprised.

What I hate is that Hahn seems to have punted this season no matter the results. Even if we were 6 games over he would punt this season. There truly is no excuse for not upgrading this team this offseason to compete. I don't want to hear the team isnt ready BS anymore.

The fans had a great time tonight. Those 4 runs salvaged an amazing crowd and a great time. This being said, No one had faith in Reylo from the get go, he has half a season to figure it out or he becomes a long relief mop up duty guy. You can't even trust him as a 5th starter at this point.

I've checked six weather stations and systems and it will rain, but to what degree during the game has varied. Hopefully, this means we will get lucky.

I dont think Chicago is getting too drenched during 6 to 930. The precipitation percentages are 50 for those hours.

You cant go into the season with that good of a roster and questionable pen. I'd add another vet starter and throw Roson and Lopez in the bullpen.

Wins aren't everything but if a pitcher wins a lot of games he is good. At the very least he gives his team a chance to win more often than not. I still want Gio to be our number 3 next season in terms of career accomplishments. I want two veteran pitchers to round out our staff, push Rodon to the bullpen, and to protect us against injury.
