Yeah, but its not guaranteed the Yankees and/or Red Sox will win their Wild Card series. That's what Id be banking on. The Red Sox are a nightmare for us but not necessarily teams with better pitching.

I sure hope so. I don't know which to choose. I'll say yes very hesitantly because I don't think any of the Wild Card contenders (excluding Cleveland) are any good. I guess the most likely option of the three is they take the last wild card spot, but I wouldn't be shocked if they fell out of the playoffs. The starting rotation is as bad right now as Ive ever seen it. Blowing a 4.5 game lead in a month is hard to do but not THAT hard. The Sox have done it before.

This homestand has been mentally exhausting, and so was the Cubs series before it. Really laboring through everything.

Stone is saying thats a scouting report thing to run on the left fielder but we all know the Sox would have sent him home regardless and been thrown out 95% of the time.

This is an important series. If the Guardians go on a big run, which isn't impossible given they have the easiest remaining schedule, Texas is the biggest competition for the final wild card spot.

If I was a Bridgeport resident I would be angry too. Losing the White Sox will be sad and a negative for the neighborhood. That said, moving is the better overall choice for the long term health of the club.
