  1. Im just so tired of hearing about it at this point. Ive accepted that theyve won, its over. Theyve won the city for good. But Im so tired of everything being Cubs, Cubs, cubs. Every channel, every article. All the small talk at work for the past 2 months, having to grit your teeth as you hear about how this was the greatest world series in the history of the world. It will never end. And all next season we will still have to hear about it Every. Freaking. Day. Just let us Sox fans be in peace. Stop the torment.
  2. QUOTE (fathom @ Oct 30, 2016 -> 10:54 PM) Been going off all postseason by me after wins. Sounds like Chapman's garage I don't even live in a Cubs area. Can't imagine how bad it is up North.
  3. They're all just so smug, it's unbelievable for the least successful franchise in sports history. They are losing the freaking series 3-2 and you'd think they just swept.
  4. Cubs fans are literally shooting off fireworks in my neighborhood. God help us, this franchise is a joke.
  5. Really getting in Chapman's head here.
  6. This long, long Fall nightmare could end tonight. Let's hope!
  7. Something has to change in the next decade. I don't know how, and I don't know if it can happen under Reinsdorf, but all of a sudden in the past year I've began to doubt the long term future of the White Sox in Chicago. That's horrifying and I want to think I'm just being over dramatic, but it's a different era than it was back when the Sox were always awful. Ownership is not going to stay in that stadium, it's "old" and way less nice than every new field being built. They're going to demand the city/state help fund a new stadium, and with the current state of the Sox and politics in IL, no way in hell is that going to happen. Something has to change, soon. It's made me so freaking pissed this month to think about how Cubs fans never have to even think about this crap.
  8. Smfh. This organization doesnt have a clue.
  9. Glad I was wrong. Work wont be so bad tomorrow. I still think this is the Cubs series to lose, Dodgers look lost at the plate.
  10. I feel like there is a 0% chance the Cubs go quitely in the 9th, and a good chance they walk it off. Hope im wrong but this game has that feeling to it.
  11. These fans dont deserve it.
  12. Seriously F THE CUBS. This postseason had sucked. The Cubs and the Indians doing well. Im tired of being told that because I live in Chicago I have to root for the Cubs.
  13. Maybe now we will pick up an underachieving player with an albatross contract on waivers! That's the missing piece this team needs right now. Go for it!
  14. I'm so mad right now!... This team is "mired in mediocrity" according to the front office and that is A-OK with them! Maybe if the team is mediocre for long enough the fans will just give up and stop expecting anything more. That must be their thinking, right? Fire Robin, Fire Rick, Fire Jerry (even though we can't do that)! Can the fans take Jerry to court and demand he relinquish control of the team? Is there any legal recourse??
  15. QUOTE (Feeky Magee @ Jul 26, 2016 -> 07:55 PM) Go to the bullpen and try to sell Shields to someone using his name and the ERA of his last 7 starts. Dude is gonna start giving up some serious runs again soon. Give Shields one more inning. I do. not. trust this bullpen to go 3 innings without imploding. It's literally impossible at this point.
  16. Dadgummit. Shields is due for a homerun, very due. Let's hope it's not this inning.
  17. Seems like Shields has thrown a lot of pitches considering how easy it's been out there on the mound for him.
  18. Our pen has the potential to be good enough, but potential is the key word. Bullpens are so up and down, unpredictable. Just look at our bullpen this year. If it would have performed half as well as it did for the first month of the season since then, we might still be in first place.
  19. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Jul 26, 2016 -> 07:33 PM) Rick Hahn seems like such a nice guy. I don't want to hate him. I don't blame him because I still think Kenny is having a say behind the scenes. I want to see an unchained Hahn.
  20. The starting pitching has been very good since the all-star break. They've been keeping us in almost every game.
  21. Wow, made our guys look silly. Btw the atmosphere at these games has been so awesome. Our fans are SO ready for some meaningful/playoff games, just look at them! It's a far cry from 2 years ago when this rivalry hit rock bottom. I wish the Sox would give us what we want.
  22. QUOTE (hi8is @ Jul 26, 2016 -> 02:55 PM) Maybe my memory is off but I thought they had been playing better on the road this year compared to home Edit: incorrect 4 over at home 5 under on the road They were playing fine on the road until the recent West Coast swing. Hopefully that was just an aberration. Without having the stats to back it up, I think they have been a decent road team over the past couple of years despite playing bad at home.
