  1. Stupid Iguchi, why can't you get extra base hits.
  2. QUOTE(sircaffey @ Apr 30, 2005 -> 07:29 PM) No one talks about this, but how much can be laid on Greg Walker? If this keeps up for 2-3 more weeks, I think he's got to go. I like Walk, but seriously, this is just flat out embarrassing. I honestly think hitting coaches have little to no impact on players performance.
  3. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Apr 30, 2005 -> 03:57 PM) For all of you that b**** out Ozzie for PH Timo over Gload... I just b**** at Ozzie for PH Timo period.
  4. QUOTE(SleepyWhiteSox @ Apr 29, 2005 -> 10:33 PM) 'Nova-Georgetown, '85 'Nough said. Also... UNC-Georgetown, '82 (Jordan) Michigan St.-Indiana St., '79 (Ever heard of Magic vs. Bird?) DePaul-Louisville, '78 (I can be a homer too.) Nova Georgetown- probably could be considered a better game, although the Zona vs. Illinois game had a little more drama UNC-Georgetown- I'd say no, Illinois game was slightly better, Jordan's game winner was with a lot of time on the clock and Georgetown's last possession was awful MSU vs. Indiana St.- not even close, MSU won that game easily DePaul-Louisville-never seen it I know it was 2 OT though I wasn't the one who said Illinois vs. Arizona was the best tourney game ever but besides the Kentucky-Duke game there is not one game that clearly tops it.
  5. QUOTE(SleepyWhiteSox @ Apr 29, 2005 -> 08:44 PM) He called illinois-arizona the best Tournament game of all time along with the NC-State win. C'mon now. Aside from the Duke-Kentucky game name one game that is clearly better than the Illinois vs. Arizona game.
  6. QUOTE(SleepyWhiteSox @ Apr 29, 2005 -> 02:42 PM) I was just pointing out that you were being biased. That was a great game. Don't hate. Double OT does not make it a great game. It was poorly played by both teams and both teams shot under 55% from the foul line including an embarrasing 0-10? something around there by Andre Brown. It was entertaining once it got to OT but lets not pretend that was a great game. Not to mention that it was tied at 55 after regulation and 59 after 1 OT, that was not a great game. A good win for Depaul but not a good game.
  7. QUOTE(SleepyWhiteSox @ Apr 29, 2005 -> 02:27 PM) I'm sure you're not biased or anything. DePaul-Dayton double overtime last year was better... If you like the worst basketball ever played in an NCAA tournament game than yes it was better. I hope that comment was meant to be a joke.
  8. From the Arizona game Bilas: Williams could tie it with a three. Bilas He does!!!! Enberg OOOOOOOOO!!!!!
  9. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Apr 28, 2005 -> 08:58 PM) Shaq bangs the hooker to put Miami up 2 with a little over 30 to play. Vince Carter send it to double OT at the buzzer.
  10. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Apr 28, 2005 -> 08:26 PM) Nets fans blow, there places isn't even full for the f***ing playoffs. Nets and Miami about to start OT
  11. I saw this on the illiniboard and I don't think it has been posted. Video
  12. QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Apr 27, 2005 -> 08:29 PM) .....and on back to back days, on basically the same throwing error! Inexcusable. If the one today hadn't hit Byrnes it would have been a close play at third. But I guess it would be better to concede third base every time rather than try to make a play. I didn't see the one on Tuesday so I can't comment on that but I had no problem with the one today.
  13. Spurs are absolutetly owning the Nuggets tonight. 63-32 at halftime
  14. I hate WCIU games. Harden vs. Buehrle and I can't even watch it.
  15. QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Apr 25, 2005 -> 09:06 PM) Reggie Miller Did you see the play today where Reggie stuck out his right leg as Davis was running by and got the call? It boggles my mind that refs still fall for that after all these years.
  16. I didn't see one so I figured I would start it. And I just wanted to say that T-Mac is money
  17. QUOTE(southsideirish @ Apr 25, 2005 -> 05:54 PM) If QBs Harrington, Ramsey, Boller, Grossman, Manning, Rivers, Roethilisberger, Losman, and Smith fail, then where does this put your argument? That the ratio of success for 1st round quarterback is still higher than that of QBs drafted after the 1st round.
  18. QUOTE(southsideirish @ Apr 25, 2005 -> 05:44 PM) and hasselbeck? Hasselbeck has had very similar season the last three years with his QB rating being in the mid to upper 80s each year which is pretty solid.
  19. QUOTE(T R U @ Apr 25, 2005 -> 05:43 PM) Over half.. 17 teams Shouldn't the Cowboys be on that list? I assume Bledsoe will probably start for them.
  20. QUOTE(southsideirish @ Apr 25, 2005 -> 05:41 PM) so you are saying inconsistency is a good way to judge if someone is a franchise QB? How does being injured=being inconsitent. When Pennington is on the field he is very good.
  21. QUOTE(southsideirish @ Apr 25, 2005 -> 05:30 PM) So he can run and protect the ball very well. He is a great option QB. Ok though Whitesox I will give you that one, but only because he got them to the playoffs by himself. But what have the rest proven. Hasselbeck has made the pro bowl and led his team to the playoffs. In 2002 Pennington was one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL and had a passer rating of over 100 and this year took his team to the second round of the playoffs. When he is healthy he is pro bowl caliber but he has had trouble staying healthy the last couple of years.
  22. QUOTE(southsideirish @ Apr 25, 2005 -> 05:27 PM) really Carr, Vick, Leftwich, Pennington, and Hasselbeck have progen this how? How has Palmer or Roethlisberger? I agree they can be, but to make the statement that they already are is kind of ludicrous. Take a look at the Falcons record with and without Vick to see why he is a franchice quarterback.
  23. QUOTE(southsideirish @ Apr 25, 2005 -> 05:23 PM) So because there are more QBs taken in the first round it makes a better success rate? Tim Couch, Akili Smith, Cade McNown and Ryan Leaf are not even in the league anymore. I don't think there is a higher success rate because there are more QBs taken in the first round. There aren't more quarterbacks taken in the first round.
  24. QUOTE(southsideirish @ Apr 25, 2005 -> 05:16 PM) First, we were not arguing about later than 2nd, but after the first. I would say there is just as much success rate in a QB taken after then 1st round. Tim Couch, Cade McNown, and Akili Smith were in the same draft that produced Donovan McNabb and Daunte Culpepper. Peyton Manning was in the same draft as Ryan Leaf. Drew Brees, who some consider last years MVP, was taken in the 2nd round of the same draft as Michael Vick, who may be overrated as a QB. The success rate is the same. You are taking a chance mo matter where you draft the QB. I don't think Rodgers was worth the pick for the Packers when they had other needs to fill. The success rate is no where near the same and you are kidding yourself if you truly think that. Sure there are a lot of busts in the first round but there are tons of quarterbacks that don't even make teams or are career third stringers from the later rounds.
  25. QUOTE(Spod=Ratings @ Apr 25, 2005 -> 04:23 PM) im glad he did this it was very class act Deron Williams is awesome and I can't wait to see him play in the NBA next year. Damn I'm going to miss watching him play at the college level.
