Funny... This could have been taken care of in the threads in which the pictures were posted or via PMs. It didn't need its own thread, thats all I was pointing out.
  2. We win and Koch gets the save but we still need something to complain about. :banghead
  3. So would I but as long as he gives up one less run than our lead he is doing his job and should remain the closer.
  4. Play got made, Koch got the save. Whats the problem? Or do we no longer count SP W's when they get bailed out by the defense. This is a team game you know.

Was there a point to this thread being created aside from obviously trying to start an argument.
  6. Until he blows another save he is the closer. End of story
  7. Bases loaded.
  8. His fastball definitely has more life this year than it did last year.
  9. Some people just don't get sarcasm. And in case you don't know Young Gun, green=sarcasm.
  10. You know what, they fill up their ballpark and more people in Chicago and around the nation care about them. The media's job is not to cater to teams with smaller fan bases. They want the big stories which is why you see them always reporting about the Yankees, Red Sox, Cubs, etc.
  11. I'm not so sure about that. I think its really just 1st round picks with lottery obviously being preferable. Personally I probably wouldn't go unless I was top 15-20 but I understand going if you are picked anywhere in the first round. Any first round pick gets a guaranteed contract and if they take care of that money they are already set for life. There is no guarantee that going to college will help their draft status and I'm not convinced players develop better playing college ball as opposed to the NBA.
  12. Hey, what are you talking about. Don't you know that whenever the media doesn't mention the White Sox they are dissing us. Give it a rest people. 1. We are clearly the #2 team in this town and that isn't going to change anytime soon. 2. Nobody cares about the White Sox nationally. We are not a huge story, and we aren't seen as a cinderella by the media. That falls to teams like Detroit and Texas who were supposed to suck but don't.
  13. Maggs walked. Runners on 1st and 2nd with one out.
  14. No matter where he went I would have felt the same way. If you are a first round pick (especially the lottery) its to much guaranteed money to pass up on. Your agent takes very little from your first contract because rookies of the rookie salary structure and as long as they do a halfway decent job budgeting their money they are set for life.
  15. There haven't been any to declare. But he has a great chance to be a very good NBA player. 6'6" PGs don't come around very often. Sebastian Telfair on the other hand...
  16. Good decision. He is a sure fire lottery pick and that would be impossible to turn down. I would do the same thing in his shoes. And before we get the people saying he isn't ready, who cares he'll be making a ton of money, won't risk injury and school is always there if he wants to when his NBA career is over. And yes I would be saying the same thing if he had chosen U of I.
  17. Were you trying to post this image?
  18. To defend Pujols, he clearly caught that ball last year and that is one of the worst calls I have ever seen an umpire make.
  19. Probably, but that is why I said I would take him in a heartbeat, IF the White Sox could afford him (which they obviously can't).
  20. I would still take him in a heartbeat if the Sox could afford to do so. Pedro may not be unhittable as he once was but I would still put him up there with just about any pitcher in baseball. Lets not forget that just two years ago he was 20-4 and with a 2.26 ERA and last year he won 14 games with a 2.22 ERA. How many pitchers could do that if they were "past their prime". And for everybody being so concerned about Pedro this year the guy still has a 3.03 ERA.
  21. Equally so. And I'll say the same thing I did in that one.
  22. Never mind then. I only had heard they hadn't reached a decision. Well, its been proven time and time again in this country that if you have money you can get away with anything so why would this be any different.
