  1. It should be a very large release movie. Right now some groups are rallying against Miramax for funding the film. But if it gets the funding, then it should be a big theatrical release. I am not 100% sure about the release date yet though.
  2. Hey anything new on this? I just got a bunch recently [since I am back at home for the summer] but I am still sifting through it all...I just got a 30 page report on Bush's role in 9/11 from a friend of mine that he said has a lot of information in it. As soon as I read it, I'll let you know. And about the newspapers, there are hard copies at libraries. If you would really like to check the authenticity of them, I'm sure even a 1/2 assed quality library would have them. Also, the new movie Fahrenheit 911 will have a lot of information about the 9/11 events because it's the entire movie. It's common knowledge that bin Laden was trying to sell his airline stock pre-9/11 because he obviously knew it was going to go down with the terrorist attack. It's one of the many crimes that he is being nailed for [making the fortune from stock while screwing everybody else because he had that insider info]

  4. They say that her kidnapping was not all that heroic, in that she was not being held against her will and that for most of the time at the hospital she was UNGUARDED. It was all a huge propaganda show for the US War Machine. http://www.cnn.com/2003/WORLD/meast/05/19/...ynch/index.html http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/americas/3043115.stm http://www.cnn.com/2003/US/05/19/sprj.irq.....dod/index.html Another quote I came across:
  5. ANTI-AMERICAN PRO-FRENCH COMMIE SCUM! YOU JUST HATE IRAQI FREEDOM! I MEAN. WE ALL KNOW THAT SADDAM WAS BEHIND 9/11! WE MUST SHUT OUR MOUTHS AND LET THE BUSH ADMINISTRATION DO WHAT'S BEST FOR US!
  6. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/europe/3026371.stm So, because this is something critical of the US, we're going to punish Belgium for doing the right thing and holding us accountable.
  7. Yeah, lying to the face of America can take a lot out of a person. Good riddance to bad rubbish.
  8. Wait wait wait...commercials are meant to deceive and lie and make the product look a lot better than it actually ever could be?
  9. Clerks is one of the greatest films ever made. A complete masterpiece.
  10. Legally blind in left eye [yet they let me drive since it can't get worse and can't get better] 3 stitches over right eye after a bike accident
  11. http://www.freep.com/news/statewire/sw7706...63_20030515.htm Man, you have to feel sorry for him a little bit. He goes from slinging pitches and winning the World Series to slinging slurpees.
  12. Hybrid of the names of my two favorite Simpsons characters...Sideshow Bob and Apu
  13. I decided to change the Chirac proclaims westside affiliation pic. Happened to be listening to Howard Zinn discuss Sacco and Vanzetti in my winamp playlist, so I got the photo. So tragic what happened to them.
  14. I found it fun in another story I read that the DEA raided his house without a warrant. Thank you, PATRIOT Act! :finger
  15. But, CW, remember the GOP can never be wrong!
  16. It was actually covered by Buzzflash and Salon too, CK.
  17. What about the thousands that have been killed in Chile? Oh wait, we put Pinochet in power. Or how about all the people murdered in Guatemala? Oh wait, we overthrew their democratically elected leader [Arbenz] on behalf of United Fruit. There are many other countries with much more horrid human rights abuses. If the Bush regime was serious about human rights, they wouldn't be giving over $100 million to Colombia this year and they'd sanction more than $0 that are currently in the budget for Afghanistan.

  19. Or Frank could become a blowhard asshat radio show host...oh, wait. I don't think Rome would want the competition.
  20. Thomas Theorem: Those things perceived as real are real in their consequences. There is no such thing as race, it's a social construct based on the amount of skin pigment somebody has. But a lot of people believe that there is race [i.e. racism, slavery, etc. etc. etc.] So, Bud's just reacting to something that he thinks is real. The best person gets the job and that should be that. [granted that's a very idealistic claim...doesn't take into account access to resources, connections people have, etc.] If the Marlins want to hire that person, let them. Selig can go stuff it up his ass. Sorry, I have too much sociology on the brain [damned 3 hr. exam yesterday]
  21. Have a great day, Heather. You too, CK.
  22. CNN is reporting that in Texas they are trying to redistrict a bunch of Democrat controlled districts out of existance and give the Republicans more districts [GOP controls Texas legislature] And from what I've read on a few different news sources [CNN, BuzzFlash, Salon, etc.], it's some pretty shady doings by the GOP. So right now, a bunch of members of the Texas legislature have refused to show up so they cannot meet quorum to vote. The GOP got their panties in a bunch and called the Texas Rangers to arrest them because the Dems aren't voting the way the GOP wants.
