I own guns and generally support the right for most people to own them, but I find it completely f***ed up how easy it is to purchase an assault rifle. There is absolutely no practical purpose for them unless you want your people armed to help deter the threat of a foreign invasion. Pretty crazy that an everyday Joe can pretty easily outgun local law enforcement.

Sad and scary. Some guy walking down the highway with a rifle. I was reading a story about a doctor from Ireland who last week decided to move back to Ireland with his wife, deeming the USA just too dangerous. We really are a dangerous country right now.

Actually some of the people are convinced they need guns in case their own government turns against us. Not a foreign invasion but our own government. You better believe police are going to be more aggressive on stops now because you never know if somebody will shoot them in protest of Baton Rouge incident and Minnesota and Ferguson.

Well, if the country has declared a war on police, they are going to have to respond. No cop wants to die on the job. I mean there are going to be a lot of commands, "Put your hands on the steering wheel NOW" after simple stops. Also if there is a car stranded on the road I dunno if cops will be stopping to help. Could be a fricking ambush.

Neither side trusts each other so yeah it's going to be straight ugly. Might force prosecutors to put cops behind bars instead of overcharge the officers so they get off.

 

People want peace but how the hell do you get it at this point?
