The usual reminder on board conduct...

Featured Replies

The admin/mod staff just had a discussion over board content as of late. The board rules flat out state that personal attacks on both other posters and people in the organization are not allowed, and can be something that gets you suspended and/or banned. I know there hasn't been a lot of enforcement of this lately, but it has to stop. It has reached ridiculous amounts lately.

Consider this everyone's warning. Personal attacks can and will bring suspensions of 10 days, or longer, as merited.

When it comes to debate you can argue about the subject material, but not the subject. The same applies to the organization.

Do we really want to dilute the board to the point where every one is neutered?

We believe that people here are smart enough to debate a topic without needing to resort to name calling. If you consider that "neutered", then the answer is yes.

If someone tells me to go f*** myself, but I laugh when I read it, does it really count as a problem?

I kid. u mods

Name calling is a slippery slope.

Is calling someone a troll, a violation for example?

Or "f*** you!"

etc etc

I usually switch over to Twitter when I wanna name call and hurl personal insults at people.

Is there an exemption for calling White Sox brass any really colorful names for their inaction this last week?

Be careful mods. If this board becomes like "the other place" used to be, people will just go right back to "the other place"

Or people could just be mature and not resort to name calling. I mean, seriously, it isn't that hard.

Not really worried about that. But anyone can go back if they choose, we aren't forcing anyone out.

No name calling. It really is that easy.

Apparently not because the way that was worded threw me off and makes no sense.

That's why I am clarifying. No name calling. No personal attacks. That is it.
