August 12, 20169 yr They're dropping like flies. Story of the season. Will Anthony Ronaudo take his spot? Please hopefully not Turner.
August 12, 20169 yr Turner's looking more comfortable out of the pen. Ranaudo or starter by committee like today's game...or Danish, as it doesn't really matter anymore.
August 12, 20169 yr Author It was interesting to see the Sox use Fulmer for three innings last night. Could they stretch him out now? After last night, he is right about 100 IP for the season, after being around 150 last year including his college time. After throwing 45 pitches last night, he should be able to get into the 60-70 range in an outing next time around. He could get something like 6-8 starts for the rest of the season putting him somewhere between 130 to 150 IP for the season.

August 12, 20169 yr Author QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Aug 12, 2016 -> 11:28 AM) But that's not Ranaudo. With the way the pen was extended last night, there is always the possibility that Beck was called up as a pen arm until they recall Raunando is recalled for the start. It could also mean that Fulmer gets the start, or it could mean that Jake Turner gets the start. We'll ahve to see if Ventura tells us their plan today.

It could also mean that Fulmer gets the start, or it could mean that Jake Turner gets the start. We'll ahve to see if Ventura tells us their plan today. This is probably what's happening. No sense in calling up a replacement starter to sit on the bench for the next 4 days when we can call up a fresh arm to come out of the pen.
August 13, 20169 yr Author Mentioned this in the Ranaundo thread, but with his start tonight at AAA, that means he isn't going to be the guy who will start in Miguel's spot. With Turner being used in relief tonight, I really think they might be setting up Fulmer to take the start.

August 13, 20169 yr I wish they would DFA Albers and bring up Burdi. Give Fulmer the Gonzalez starts.
