19th time this year the Sox lost a game when allowing an opponent three runs or less.

 

Sale has got to be talking to himself by now. He should have 19 wins.

He must be pissed 14 Ks and no chance of winning. Pathetic team. Pathetic organization.

120 pitches obviously isn't something they're going to allow him to do every time. But every once in a while when the stress innings are low, it shouldn't be a big deal.

 

I don't see the point in risking extra strain on the arm for a guy with a violent delivery when we are not even in the race late in the season. Robin has been doing it a lot with Rodon lately too.

They need new arms. That's the only reason Sale was still in there. You bring in a relievers who gives up some runs then its stupid Robin . Sale is the asset here not those pieces of meat in the BP .Sox aren't going anywhere let the pen blow out therir arms not Sale.Robin is in a no win situation.

They are working the new crop into shape after the injuries. It is still a work in progress though. Sale going 120 pitches really isn't that big of a deal every once in a while.

Over Sale's last seven starts, he has a 1-4 record with a 2.56 ERA.

He also had an extra day rest coming in. Before the game Robin said that usually translates into really good stuff, and an ability to go a little longer..
