What really sucks is there are multiple farm rich teams looking for a starter including the Dodgers. If Quintana was his vintage self, we'd almost certainly get a nice haul.

To me, I just don't think Q is the type of pitcher that other teams will sell the farm for. Teams want the guy with big velocity that they project will dominate in the postseason

I think that's true to some extent, but there simply aren't many of those guys available. Someone would have ponied up for Q IMO.
