Sox and Jays 6/16 game thread

CHW just 5 back, KC 2 1/2 (potentially) after tonight.

Greg's going to go crazy...not to mention the unbalanced schedule we've been fighting against for 2 1/2 months.

We probably sign Melky to a contract extension.

I think Melky is a good fit in our clubhouse and while I don't think he's a bad ballplayer, I don't think he fits the club moving forward. No reason to pay what he will likely command.

Uhhh

Hanson in only his second professional game in CF.

Great hustle there, at least...could have reached third.

And the Q that drives everyone crazy this year shows up again.

Q in trouble....must have forgot how to pitch in the 6th

This. Quintana's biggest hinderence is himself. If he pitches better in the coming weeks, I have complete faith a market will be there.

I totally agree with this statement.

Furthermore, Gray is not in the same ballpark as Quintana.

Gray has a history of injuries compared to Quintana who has been as Buehrle durable.

Quintana has put up a 4 WAR the past three seasons, Gray has never done it once.

Also, This is just my observation but their is not many good lefties coming up in the minor leagues. The best of them are at least 2 years away so if a team wants to get more left handed it will be through trade or free agent. If you look at the Astros they are extremely right handed after you get past Kuechle in their whole organization.

Huge DP for Q

Uhhh

Which part are you taking issue with? Good is probably stretching, but he doesn't suck

Whew. That was close to being very bad. That is a much more Q-like outcome than i've seen most of this season.

Daniel Hudson against Cubs, now protecting 4-3 lead thanks to Josh Bell's 12th dinger...

What's the latest update on Leury Garcia's hand??

Actually, I was admiring your diplomatic response.

When we extend Frazier, we can allow Davidson to man LF.

I do believe I would get him increasing reps at 1B this year.

Lol

Umm...Timmy, you need to be on third there.

Omar with the rare offensive explosion.

I really do enjoy watching Yolmer in the field. What do the numbers say about him at second?

Nats going to have to use pen in 9th with 4-1 lead...Scherzer will be nervous. They can't let him throw 125-130.

Q saves his own life, 5.07 era, down from 5.30 to start game.

They like him for 2.1 fWAR defensively thus far

Yeah, Scherzer at 118 pitches through 8

That could have been ugly...

Is that good? It sounds good.
