July 28, 20178 yr Obviously still awhile away, but I wanted to drum up some discussion. We're most likely going to have a top 5 pick in both drafts. What does everyone hope the moves are? Are we looking for best player available? High school vs. College? What do we all want and think?

I still want Beer because of the name and the guy can flat out hit. But, if we have the #2 or #3 pick and there is a can't miss SS available, I'd understand if that was the pick.
July 28, 20178 yr Author Hoping for Beer as well. And from things I've read and looked at, it sounds like we don't need the top pick to get him, which is nice.
July 28, 20178 yr QUOTE (bmags @ Jul 28, 2017 -> 03:25 PM) TuuuuuuuuuuuRang I am currently on the Turang train, but it's still very early.
July 28, 20178 yr Without a clear cut #1, the thought of the Sox having the pick is a scary proposition. But I hope they get it.

July 28, 20178 yr There is a 2018 Draft thread already for what it's worth. http://www.soxtalk.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=101273

July 28, 20178 yr QUOTE (Chicago White Sox @ Jul 28, 2017 -> 04:40 PM) Always risk with #1 overall? Eh, I only buy that with the "regret" factor as a fan. When you had a shot for everyone, it could hang over you. But I would want #1 overall instead of #2 overall.
July 28, 20178 yr QUOTE (Chicago White Sox @ Jul 28, 2017 -> 04:40 PM) Always risk with #1 overall? See mark Appel over Kris Bryant...
July 29, 20178 yr QUOTE (steveno89 @ Jul 28, 2017 -> 06:22 PM) See mark Appel over Kris Bryant... Eh I don't buy that, they had the opportunity though.
