He has zero technique and footwork right now. It is all instinct and no skill at this point in the field.

instinct will take you a long way at 2B. And skill? He has skill. You can teach footwork.

 

I wanted to mention it earlier but didn't 'cause it was too tangential but unlike TA, Moncada has soft hands. Moncada's feet get in his way, just like TA, but unlike TA, Moncada can cradle a ball. Similar to Yolmer except Yolmer is juts as textbook as it gets fundamentals wise. I'm high on TA long term defensively as well, for different reasons.
