I really don't want to rush Jimenez. He'll only get a little over 1/2 a month with Birmingham this year, so I think its a good idea to have him at least start next year there. Then if he continues to crush the ball the first couple of months next year, then promote him in June.

With as bad as the 2018 Sox are going to be, there is zero reason for a guy like Jimenez to get rushed.
August 23, 20178 yr Author Jimenez is going to get the Kris Bryant treatment. He'll be ready, but the right thing to do is play the service time game. Whenever he can come up in 2019 to get the extra year.
