They're gradually doing it so you get used to the idea and don't throw a fit when it does happen. It will happen in our lifetimes. If fans of European soccer teams eventually got over it (teams that in some cases predate anything we have over here), we will too.

Yea - totally agree that it's inevitable... but my soul will be crushed, my eyes will be sore, and my head will want to explode.
