It's pretty nuts BP had no idea of this being a chick,like do they not fill out paperwork or some document when hiring? how did she get away with this for so long? Also DiCaro is the worst.

Uggh, can't stand DiCaro. She was trashing Patrick Kane a few years ago, and it turned out he was framed. Did she ever apologize to him?

Its crazy how quickly the story goes from "Wow, a 13 year old girl was writing for BP for years" to "this awful 20-year old woman catfished and harassed numerous people online".

I think DiCaro started talking about it on her show/podcast last night, after several woman begged her not to, because it was way more than just a teenage girl pretending to be a male writer, given all the harassment that came out. She still talked about it and was called out for "victim-shaming", while she claims to stand up for all victims 24-7.

I'm so sick of apologies. There are some that are true, but IMO, most of the time people apologize they are sorry for getting caught. If they hadn't, they would still be doing the same thing.

I'm look for more juice on this as well. All I know is she was harassing women in their DMs about nudes and stuff.

There were at least two women who said that they were "romantically involved" with the account. Girls sent some random person they met on the internet naked pictures of themself/themselves. I know Te'o got catfished and a lot of people get duped all the time but I never knew women were getting duped too. I always the lonely guy was the typical target.

 

It is absolutely mind-bottling to me that people have romantic relationships with people they never even meet or see on camera. I guess it's a very specific type of person who ends up in these kind of ordeals but I'm thankful that I will never be one of them.

 

You should watch Catfish on MTV some time, its actually a pretty good show. Someone did a statistical breakdown of the series and about 2/3 of the catfish were women while victims were just about split. Also of note to this case, women were almost twice as likely to misrepresent their gender.

Something was always fishy about this account. Always tweeting about the "wife and kids"- like, way more than anyone would ever tweet about their wife and kids- as if he was trying to prove that he had them. I assumed that it was just a guy insecure about his love/family life and compensating through acting like he has a nice family. Never imagined this, though.
