The (age old, time proven) concept of coming out of the shoot (1st inning) with the game plan of keeping opposing hitters off balance seems to be a foreign concept to Lopez (and, as the one calling the game, Castillo... and by extension Rentaria/ Cooper).

Changing; eye angle, speed, and ball movement is far more important than repeatedly attempting to throw the fastball at maximum speed. MLB hitters feast on a steady diet of 95-97 MPH fastballs. Compare and Contrast Glasnow’s approach vs. Lopez’. It’s like night and day.

Every game, it's the same plan.

- Establish the 4 seamer, go with one offspeed

- In the fourth inning, introduce a 3rd and fourth pitch, that's the hook!

That's it.

You can win if one of them makes a productive out.

  • The fact they didn't want to pay Avi and instead wanted to give Palka time in RF is just another reason Hahn should be fired.

  • there you have it, "Abreu" and "great defensive" used in the same sentence for the first time ever.

Good lord that curve is electric

wow Glasnow is good, our hitters suck but this guys a monster

I'm sure Palka will go 4-4 and the Sox will win 5-3 but Glasnow's stuff today is no hit/perfect game esque

Sox might get no hit tonight.

Should be the easiest steal of Timmy’s career here

No pitcher is good enough to get TA out.

I'll take credit for that.  Man Tim is good.

See?

Thank you Timmy

TA took 96 mph HIGH IN THE ZONE. His hands are special.

Without TA this lineup has been pathetic this homestand.

Man. Glasnow has filthy movement on that fastball. He was a mess with Pitt. How do we poach the Rays development staff?

Pretty sure Glasnow is one of the slowest pitchers to the plate in the majors. Shocked Timmy hasn’t stolen yet.

that curve is unhittable, maybe Gio should ask Glasnow for some pointers

Doctor their resumes so it says they went to Michigan for undergrad?

Good job Timmy

Anderson keeps this up he is gonna get the starting nod at SS for the all star game.

Yeah, or change them to show that they have absolutely no baseball background

He's so fun to watch. Will be a shame when the Sox trade him as they undergo rebuild #2, since the first one didn't take. :D

He's 2-0, but I like Reylo starting off AB with 2 changeups (one that appears to have been a strike)

Doesn’t even have command at 93

Nice start to the 3rd for Lopez

They will draft Stott and then be forced to trade Anderson before Stott has proven a thing in the minors
