I'm not even going to take a lot out of this start for Gio. Throwing a slick baseball in the pouring rain is not fair. Not to him and not to the fielders either. They shouldn't be playing this game.

I don't know what you guys are talking about but after the 1st 2 innings Gio has been pretty good. Only 2 ER.

That was a cheap HR. If anyone other than Leury is in RF that is an out.

The broadcast said the xBA on that HR was .100

If the ball is so juiced, as Stoney says, might be wise to try and get more strikeouts.

It's Leury's fault?

Wow, shocked that went out.  Nice response from the offense.

It isn't his fault, it is unfortunate. Leury is 5-8 and a 6-0+ RF makes that catch.

Cheap homerun for Alonso there. :)

Hit or error?

That should be a hit for Moncada.

I really wish they would keep Yoan hitting 2.

Because the ball stayed under the glove? Just seemed like a lazy play by Torres.

Definitely a hit. He didn't put his glove on that ball at all.

Going into this game, I thought that if Giolito pitched 5 innings with 3 ER or less it was a good start for him. Let's see if he can pull it off.

The wall is like 10' tall and the ball hit the top of a fan's outstretched arms. It would've required Yao Ming if Yao Ming had a 48" vertical. It wasn't like Alonso's which bounced on top of the wall

Idk what you're watching. The ball didn't hit the wall but it barely cleared it. Fielders can scale the wall to make a catch you know.

Yay!!!!

WOOOOOO ! Numero Uno . Take that all u haters !!!

Is Eloy good again?

WOOOOO

I was doing some HW, and realized I should throw the Sox game on.

Two seconds later, first pitch I see is Eloy's first HR. I take full credit, and I will be accepting bitcoin donations.

Hits his first homer at (new) Yankee Stadium... Legend.
