Decent part time player.  Wrong fit with this team IMO.

Trade him while he's hot, grab a lotto ticket, move on.

Nice breath of fresh air.  I know it won't last and he's not part of the future (maybe not even the rest of the year).  But it's nice to see someone get off to a great start.  I've had enough of the Alonso, Collins, and Reed fiascos.

Collins and Reed have what...35 at bats combined?

He's a pretty great 4th outfielder. While I agree with posters above that he doesn't fit on this team, he's kind of refreshing to watch with all the crap we've thrown out there the last several years. Professional at bats, steady defense, \aggressive but not reckless base running. Just a smart baseball player.

My guess is some playoff team will call for him to be on their bench in exchange for salary relief.

Salary relief? The guy is owed like 2 million the rest of the way. This organization is in big trouble if they need salary relief for Jon Jay.

The Dodgers just lost Chris Taylor to a broken arm. Maybe we can send them Jay or Sanchez in exchange for a DSL Lotto tix?
