Renteria lays into Moncada after error

Featured Replies

Will just have to wait and see if it has a positive or negative effect...took him down into the tunnel leading into clubhouse after his terribly nonchalant play on the pop up down the line and really laid into him.

Right afterward, Yoan just stayed put at 3B when it was pretty clear he could have scored from third on a medium-depth ball to Buxton (Arraez did score twice this series with less speed on similar balls)....luckily, Castillo followed with a sac fly.

Guess it worked (it was even hit right-handed!)...but someone with his defensive abilities shouldn’t be on a projected path to 20 errors, not at 3B.

He’s lucky he didn’t get pulled from the game outright.

And another double...quite the response, OPS at 897.

Good. Keep these players accountable.

And, he really wouldn't have scored on thay flyball to Buxton. He would've been dead to rights.

Okay...I was basically just quoting the Twins’ radio announcers, who were questioning the lack of aggressiveness from a team going nowhere.

Will have to look at the replay.  Buxton can throw well when he has momentum behind him, coming in on the ball.

He was right to not go from third. No need to take a big chance like that with no outs. But on Abreu's basehit, his unawareness of the shortstop's positioning cost him a chance to score on that play. But eh, he had a good night :)

My favorite thing that Ricky has done all year.

We've made too many boneheaded plays on pop ups and fly balls (including injuries)... time to start getting that shit together.

Ricky should put himself in a corner with a dunce cap for bunting for one run in two games against the Twins, who have one of the best offenses in baseball.  Ricky is a clueless bum.

Well I'm no Ricky fan.. but I read/heard other day - that bunt was not ordered by slick rick.

I missed the error. What happened exactly? Nonchalant and dropped it?

Is there video of Ricky railing on him?

Yet the OF play has sucked all year, rip their ass

Moncada responded great to this. Well done by Ricky. You need to read your players and know your guys.

Buxton has a cannon if he's sitting inside a cardboard box laying on his back. He doesn't need a perfect set up. No one challenges Buxton but for maybe Bux himself in that situation.

Will have to wait and see?

Guy came out next AB and rocketed a double and then a homer the AB afterward. Busted his ass around the bases both times. We already saw how he responded to it.

Good more please. Some of the mistakes these guys have made in the field this year has been beyond belief.
