Mentioned it yesterday that his swings after he dove for that ball didn't look quite right (kept messing with his hand/thumb). I'm shocked he didn't get the day off but then I remembered Grudzielanek was managing that team. Edited August 2, 20196 yr by SoxAce

August 3, 20196 yr Vaughn is going to hit into an absurd amount of double plays. He hits the ball so hard consistently and just had no speed. He does look very good at the plate, despite poor results tonight
August 3, 20196 yr That kid Duran is perfect through 5 against the Barons... EDIT: He walked the 2 hitters in the 6th. Still a no no for now. Edited August 3, 20196 yr by SoxAce

August 3, 20196 yr Vaughn takes some great swings at the plate. Have a feeling he's gassed right now, but will be a monster come next year.
August 3, 20196 yr I'm thinking that a lot of the depth guys are going to rebuild their value next year.

Sheets or Collins could make a good LH middle of the order bat based on their improvement at the plate this season. I'm wondering if that little cup of coffee for Collins was just what he needed to take the advice of the Sox player development team on how to make it in the big leagues. The guy I saw in said cup of coffee had no business in the Majors. Edited August 3, 20196 yr by Jack Parkman
August 3, 20196 yr OT: Madrigal's old teammate @fathom's boy) Larnach just homered against the Barons.
August 3, 20196 yr Guys is Madrigal a unicorn or are there more hitters out there similar to him? Obviously they'd strike out more. What I mean by this is guys with well above average speed, gap power, good to great defense and a 60 hit tool that strike out 60 or fewer times per 700 PA with a >8% BB rate.
