If he can get consistent control and stop shitting on himself the first 2 innings he's going to K 200 a year.

This isn't even worth debating.  Almost all of his earned runs on his near 7 ERA have come in the first 2 innings.  That is a problem that still hasn't been addressed.

Looks miles better and more dangerous than Palka. Doesn't look nearly as overmatched as he did when he was first called up. I hope Ricky sees the same and bats him higher next game (hopefully next game and not next week).

Palka is done.  I doubt we see him next year.  He will sign a minor league deal with some other team in the offseason.

11 Ks no walks ?

You jinxed him.

Cease not getting the same calls Clevinger got all night

If he doesn't get this guy, I'd pull him. 105+ pitches now.

Yeah he looks tired now.

Out of gas.

Pul him Ricky. Take him out on a high note.

Great decision by Ricky! Can't believe it.

Don‘t mind keeping him in, he has to learn how to battle with the tank amlost empty.

Unless Marshall serves one up and Cease is tacked with 2 more runs.

I wouldn't count that against Cease if it happened. He pitched great tonight. No reason to push him more.

He doesn't deserve those 2, so hopefully we can get a quick out.

You can question who was brought in after but not the decision to pull him. I agree with Ricky 10 times out of 10 with this one. Just gotta hope Marshall gets it done.

That would really be 2018 Giolito shit. Giolito had the worst luck with inherited runners scoring in 2018 I've ever seen.

OMFG

God damnit.  That sucks for Cease.

Wow what a terrible pitch. Another Sox pitcher that comes in and immediately craps the bed

You need to be taken into an alley and shot. (Obviously joking)

You deserve a timeout.

Some might say, where was Bummer (regardless of right handed batter).

The old after a mound visit 3 run HR.

Wow.  Nice pitch.
