We need to be using him as the headliner, like now.  Foster honestly looks like a guy you could toss out for the 1st inning, maybe you even get a 2nd out of him, and then you put in Ross for the next 3-5.

Renteria needs to get creative.

Detwiler faced only 21 batters in his first 7.1 innings pitched of the season. He’s probably the only pitcher in the history of MLB to do that.

I'll eat crow.  I wanted this guy nowhere near the MLB roster.  He's been quite impressive.  I actually wish Ricky would use him more!  Ride the hot hand while you can...

If Bummer was still healthy...would you move him to some team starved for BP help? I mean, capitalize on that value?

SD, with Yates and now Pomeranz out really need BP help and a catcher. I'd rather keep Bummer and maybe dangle Colome plus McCann in exchange for a couple of their minor league assets like Head and Santana. Also, Luchessi might be an interesting get.

 

this is one of the best parts about big league pitching. Suddenly it can just click.
