First off, Abreu is #3, not #2.

Second off, damn you for posting this. You saw who #1 is!

Interesting how the two Sox players on this list stick out like sore thumbs when looking at the launch angle column.

Tatis-posting needs to be banned

Eloy is one of the most obvious swing change candidates in baseball. Menechino needs to earn his money here, because I think there are plenty of organizations that would already have Eloy elevating and pulling the ball much more than the Sox do.

What's the reason for worrying about launch angle? I personally like it when Eloy goes oppo all the time.

I'm a long-time fan. But the last time I had a lot of time to follow the Sox no one talked about launch angle. So I'm genuinely curious.

I'm torn between being annoyed that people keep trotting out the corpse of that trade, but also entertained each time I'm rick-rolled into thinking something is a genuine thread/post.

The idea is that Eloy/Abreu are hitting the ball hard, but it doesn't yield as many results because lower launch angles mean more ground balls. Objectively, ground ball hitters have less success than line drive/fly ball hitters, for the most part.

I'm not worried about it with Eloy, however, as even despite the low launch angle, all of his underlying stats are very encouraging. Even with his impressive numbers, he has been unlucky this year
