I said Mendick isn’t going anywhere. If Lamb sucks, you DFA his ass and Boom! Mendick is still there. Depth is not a bad thing. And i also just don’t think Mendick is good, so there’s that. March 30, 20215 yr MAybe they think there is vulnerability at 3b meaning maybe Moncada has some issues not talked about and they want to cover that for awhile. Otherwise it doesn’t mAke sense to keep a guy like this .

I think it is just to give more flexibility with 1B/3B, Lamb can play 1B, with Vaughn playing LF and hopefully Grandal catching most games, its nice to have a power left handed bat on the bench who can slide in at 1B if need be
March 30, 20215 yr Yolmer has been designated for assignment, and I'd prefer him over Jake Lamb, who hasn't been good in the past three season.
