VAfan Posted May 17, 2021 Share Posted May 17, 2021 The White Sox have the best record in baseball, the best run differential, the best ERA in the AL, and are ranked #1 in the Athletic and ESPN power ratings. Yet, the team has a lot of guys in their first full year of MLB, if you consider that last year was a truncated season. DH - Yermin Mercedes LF - Andrew Vaughn CF - Luis Robert 2B - Nick Madrigal Backup catcher - Zack Collins SP/RP - Michael Kopech RP - Garrett Crochet RP - Codi Heuer RP - Matt Foster That's 9 guys on a 26 man roster who are playing significant roles. Do any other teams with winning records have this number of rookies playing significant roles? This is a good and a bad thing. Good in that these guys should get better.
