The Reds are just a weird organization.

Givens' home/road splits are insane. I wonder what it cost the Reds to get him.

They'd probably be a lot closer to first if they didn't trade away Iglesias. Now they're buying bullpen pieces at the deadline.

It is hilarious seeing Mariners sell while the Reds, who are in a worse actual position despite projected as a better team, are like "yeah, let's do this."

Someone should tell them last years playoff rules don't apply.

Hard for me to understand what the logic is for a Reds team not really in contention?

They dealt Iglesias this offseason only to trade for pen help now?

The Reds are like the Rockies, only playing in a weaker division. A lot of their moves are headscratchers.

I feel like reds are in a formula one mindset that they'll somehow be better off if they can sell a winning record and 7th place NL finish like it matters.

So they got him for 2 guys that are barely in their top 30.

Go me thinking about Avery Weems. Striking out a ton (13.4 per 9), giving up bombs to those who connect (1.8 HRs per 9 IPs) resulting in a 6.20 ERA.

Don't think he'll ever get beyond AA. A bird in hand worth two in the bush.

Never say never with a pitcher. He's doing one thing at an elite level in AA. He just has to figure out the other part, not getting hit.
