Bring on spring training!!

Recommended Posts

Whatever the hell I can do to pass the time.

This is the slowest time of year for me. School has just started, so time doesn't seem to be flying like it sometime does from January on. There is no snow on the ground yet, so I can't shovel or do fun things with snow; its not hot, so I can't go to the beach. So right now I get to do homework, play XBox, read, bowl, and watch TV....and that's about it(with a little yardwork every now and then).

Come December, it's much colder, so there is actually stuff to do; Christmas and New Year's Day are right around the corner so we get 2 weeks off and get presents to go along with it, it's Bowl Week and there's always some good games on....really a good time for me. In January and February, there's some College BBall on, so I'll watch that a little(no too incredibly interested in the NBA, but I'll watch it if it's on....mainly the TWolves and Bulls). And I'll wonder what in the HELL dumbass move we're going to make this offseason and when rebuilding will start and we'll throw up the White Flag before the season even starts, like the Indians, Brewers, and Padres did this year(it is gonna have to start in the next 5 years, doesn't it?).

Then comes March....college BBall tourney, and ST. Once the tourney ends, baseball pretty much starts. Then I repeat what I did this year.

What will some of you guys and gals do to pass your time in the off season? Bulls?  Hawks??

I will be going to at least 1 Bulls game while I'm on vacation in Chi-Town next month.

f*** the Hawks. Dollar Bill isin't getting a dime out of me.

I'm not totally going without hockey though. I do plan on making it to 1 or 2 Wolves games while I'm home. I've been meaning to go check them out but never have had a chance.

Work......work...

Attend USC football games...no, thats not Southern Cal games.

Keep up with USC hoops once they start.

Watch meaningless Bowl Games, and hope my USC team makes it to one.

Watch National Championship

Watch March Madness

Plan Trip to Tucson for Spring Training.

Jas, you gonna go to ST this year? My Brain is a Stormin!!

For sure. I am out there every year. Its only about a 5:30 hour drive from where I am in SOCAL. I usually go there Thurs, Fri, Sat, and Sun or Sat, Sun, Mon, Tues and leave right after the game on either Sun or Tues.

Just depends which days I can play hookie from school :headbang

Its always a blast. Usually I am in the Phoenix area and drive up to Tuscon. I typically catch 2 Sox games and then watch two others games and a night game. Nights are a blast, a ton of things to do there.

In the off season I like to head to the beach. So thats what I will most likely be doing this year. I used to shovel snow when I lived in Chicago, but now that I'm in the sunny warmth of southern Florida I don't have to do that anymore. Some one mentioned Spring Training on here, the question I have is has anyone ever gone to Arizona to see the White Sox play in spring? I myself have only been fortunate enough to go one time.

Basketball... they should just give each team 100 points and let them play for 3 minutes.

And to not look like an off topic bastard, I will be working on my computer a lot, I just installed Linux Redhat 9, so I have some toying around to do with that. There's school, I'll probably watch a few Hawks games, and do stuff online. Fun, huh?
