So when/how will they limit Kopech's innings?

Featured Replies

He'll be at 93-94 IP after tonight. His previous high was 69 IP last season. What should the limit on his IP be in the regular season if they expect him to throw in the postseason? Isn't 40+ IP from the last season typical? At this point, it seems like they have little expectation for him to be a starter in the playoffs. Who the hell knows.

It's a good sign Kopech was able to pitch well despite losing his catcher.

I think Narron has done a good job working with Zavala this season which allowed this to happen. I see Zavala catching 40 of the last 60 games unless he gets hurt.

Maybe an IL stint soon, but I doubt they skip starts much down the stretch.  This team isn’t playing deep into October.

After tonight he’s on pace to finish with 150 ish innings. That’s…not bad? I probably said 140 to start the year.

I said 140-150 for him so that looks about right if he can stay healthy.
